This game for me shows why Liverpool can't be considered as good as the Man City sides of the last two seasons. Man City were capable of fighting on all fronts where Liverpool just straight up can't.

On the evidence of this selection I agree . I’d go as far as to say our second string are better man for man . So I would be happy to see Pool win and put out another Prem team and continue playing their  rezzies in the competition

Absolute travesty Carlisle aren't through given the ball was clearly out of play for the second goal.

Which takes me too ... VAR at PL grounds but that's all? How is that fair. Tranmere, for example, get the advantage of VAR for two goals yet Carlisle have to settle with a draw. Granted they've still got to defend the cross as expected but I'd be fuming.

Said exactly the same thing this afternoon, I'm surprised it's been allowed. If Wigan had scored the same goal at their ground it would have stood. It seems really unfair that it's used when it's not available for all the matches.

Exactly they have no squad depth whatsoever. They are really playing with fire, they are only one or two injuries away from fielding kid now.

All these players no one has ever heard of, like Origi and Lallana.  Are they even real names?

Divock Origi is 100% made up. It's actually an anagram for "Oi dick vigor"

Have the 9000 Everton fans taken a vow of silence, before the match?
