It was such a weird 5 minutes of play. Nacho seemingly missing the need to kick the ball back, Cantwell potentially getting lucky to not see red and then Maddison passing the ball back for a goal kick.

I'm stating a situation in which something our player does isn't the "right thing' but he does it and we love him. I just think Maddison would have showed some Zlatan-esque nature and rifled that into the top corner

I love Madders. One of our best players, genuine match winner. Amongst the best midfielders we've had in my lifetime. For me, he's as good as Muz. 

 

But he's probably the worst left winger since Olly decided to recruit a couple of random Hungarians. 

 

For the love of God stop playing him there. It's such a waste. He's chasing shadows in defence and never gets a look in attack. He plays in the middle, we win games. He plays out wide we might as well stay at home. 

 

I mean Josh Low would have been better there tonight. This is absolutely not a dig at him by the way, just please Brendan. I thought we'd learned.

You cannot play him out wide. He becomes totally ineffectual. When will BR realise this. He had probably his worst game this season tonight.

Had a poor game even when he moved in to the middle but he was screwed over by Rodgers again today by being played out on the left from the start.

 

You're meant to play to your players' strengths and shifting him out wide where he's nowhere near as efficient of effective is just asking for trouble.
