splinterdream Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Whilst madders isn't running the game like he was he's still outshing Youri who's gone so far off its unreal
dooflip Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 I’ve never really rated him tbh. I’ve always seen him as average. Massive ego, selfish, thinks he’s world class and he isn’t. Someone needs to tell him he will never be David Beckham. id rather have grealish every day of the week. Or even Bruno from sporting, manure can have madders!

Its not even objective discussion, it's just mostly verbal diarrhoea from the cerebrally deficient Oh someone got a thesaurus for Xmas

Few defeats and all of a sudden he has a massive ego and is selfish Ok mate.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Always seem to be taking too many touches, I’m convinced he would have more goals this season if he hits things first time
Le Renard Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Maddison could be a very good player and go to the next level if he stops taking that extra touch.
Guest An Sionnach Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 It's the England curse , it happens to all our players who get picked and Banks excepted always has. Only way to get rid of it is clear off like Shilton, Lineker and Heskey.
baldeagle Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Wasn’t his best game and he was hitting the deck a lot but I’m pretty sure our fans were also accusing Grealish of this in the semi . Burnley were also being there usua horrible l selfs leaving there foot in on quite a few challenges .

He doesn’t put enough effort in and is far too consistent. I’ve been up for selling him ever since he was linked with an 80m move last summer. Really not a fan. Rather have players who bleed.

Scapegoat all they like, every player has been crap for months. If anyone is to blame surely the buck stops with the manager? I’m sure he’d accept that, but on Maddison, while I’ve never been his biggest fan, but he is no way the sole reason for this piss poor form

There was one wasn't even touched chucked himself on floor hands in the air does it about 2 or 3 times a game. Be so much better if he used his brain and held the ball up and lay of a pass!
Mark Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Its hard to warm to players who do things like Grealish does, shame Maddison has started all this diving back up. Earlier in the season Rodgers was on at him to get up (think it was the Spurs home game) and he and his form picked up.
Mark Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Last week was pretty bad too when he tried to get a foul on the edge of our area and just sat there whilst Southampton had an attack.

Suffolk exile Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 He isn't playing well. Hasn't for quite some time. But he is still the player who is most likely to make something happen. Today's result is not because of Madders poor level of performance (by his standards), but instead it was to do with Wilf's continued absence. HE is the real difference. He is our beating heart. Madders without him is blunt, but this does not give him the excuse to throw himself to the ground the way he did.

Kasey Keller Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 Too many over played passes and touches in stead of letting fvcking fly when having the opportunities to Have a crack on goal

Ric Flair Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 That was the James Maddison of the Puel era from December to February. Honking. Sadly these atrocious displays are contagious across the entire team, Vardy included.

City and Liverpool it takes more than his presence to make a difference.
Riince Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 I think it’s such a shame that Maddison sees the need to cheat and Dive after his red card for diving he said he would learn after watching the game today blatant dives not picked up on if he doesn’t address it it will catch up with him surely Maddison is better than a cheat disappointing
BenTheFox Posted 19 January 2020 Posted 19 January 2020 He's undoubtedly very talented and I'll never take that away from him. He's one of the most technically gifted players we've ever had. However I just can't warm to him. Everything about him screams dickhead modern footballer. I hate how much he throws himself to the ground too.

You might be right and I could be wrong, but I think you are reacting instinctively and buying his flash bastard insta persona, which is part boyish fun and part tongue in cheek. He speaks very well post match in interviews. His free kicks and corners.smack of hour after hour of practice. A young lad who went to Aberdeen to cut his teeth. An improvement in strength and stamina since he first arrived. Finally, I felt his casino incident was far from the error.l it was portrayed to be. I thought it a very subtle, very clever pop a the England manager.
