Absolutely delighted. Hopefully that means no more buy out clause!

I am sure there will be, but it will be equivalent to 5.5 years worth of his new salary.

Hopefully that shuts up the pundits/journalists banging on about him leaving!

The bloke can't really do much else than sign a new contract to show how committed he is.

Fantastic news.

I think this announcement will be good for giving the players that extra boost, knowing the man that they have so much confidence in isn't going anywhere.

We are going to be so attractive in the summer. Brendan committed, new training ground, a happy environment to work in, and hopefully champions league football. Just need to get on with those stadium plans now.

Common sense predicts he'd sign a new contract.

Leicester might not be the biggest club in the world, but the world is watching and liking us.

Excellent.

You want him, pay ****tards but if we suddenly don’t want him it’s a gamble but hey ho!

Right now it seems the smart move from Top plus he’s gonna get increase salary and bonuses for top 4 and silverware which he rightly deserves.

This.  I believe this is how it works for pretty much all managers these days.

Man we moved so fast on this! Really impressive stuff.

The guy has done an incredible job and might even have what it takes to become an elite level coach. This contract says to me Top will back him, and Rodgers wants in!

“But just as important to us is the suitability of Brendan’s wider philosophy to the Club’s established culture and values. He and his staff immersed themselves immediately, building an understanding for the Club and the city and an appreciation for what makes them special.

“That has been a valuable combination over the last nine months – strengthening the bond between our players, staff and supporters – and I’m excited to see how it can continue to enhance our long-term vision for the Club.”

The next 5 years are going to be awesome!

The Arsenal link clearly shit the club up enough for them to open up their wallet.

Good stuff. Now bring the title home you sexy bastard.
