Interestingly this season, top 6 will not necessarily gain you a seat at the European dinner table. Villa could win the league cup and a mid table team like Southampton, Newcastle or Arsenal could get a favourable draw and win the FA Cup as Liverpool and Man City concentrate on the Champions League.

That said looking at the game remaining we have already played 2 of the other teams currently in the CL places home and away, with the third to come in a couple of weeks.

If I suggested I thought Crystal Palace would sneak the last Champions League place you’d all Rightly think that the Bush wasn’t the only thing smoking over here.

Palace are currently 11 points behind Chelsea and 16 goal worse goal difference.

Spurs in 5th at the minute are currently 12 points behind us in 3rd with a 20 goal worse goal difference.

Liverpool have won the league by a mile this season, and their consistency is frightening. Man City have the second best squad, but you see them losing games. Pep wants the Champions League, he didn’t win it with Bayern and hasn’t with Man City. Whatever you think of him, those fraud comments won’t go away until he wins it again. They will drop points now they are certain(ish) top 4 without having a hope of winning the league.

Some in here now interestingly rather than the media, downplay our right to be in third. Some woeful comments suggesting everyone from Sheff Utd, Wolves, Spurs and Man Utd will run us down.

The truth is there is no consistency outside the top 1 this season, even in our wobble we have been an inform team and no one has gained any real ground on us.

The top 6 as with the rest of the league could be anything, but Liverpool, Man City and ourselves will be the top 3.

You realise that would mean Wolves go unbeaten winning 11 of their last 13?

Just how it played out when I entered my predictions.

Think it’s unlikely Wolves, Man Utd and Spurs go on those types of runs but fair enough.

For Wolves to get 70 points, they would have to win 11 and draw 2 of their last 13 games and Spurs win 11 or win 10 and draw 3 of their last 13. Not going to happen

Even the most optimistic Spurs and Wolves fans would not be predicting this. Wolves and Spurs still have to play each other. Wolves also have Chelsea and Sheff U away and the mighty LCFC in a couple of weeks plus 10 other games, many against teams battling against relegation. Likewise Spurs also have to go to Chelsea and have games against Man U, Arsenal, Sheff U and the mighty LCFC.  I also can't see the mighty Foxes not winning 7 of their remaining 13 to get to 70 points. In fact, 67 (5 wins and and 3 draws) would be a tough target for any of our chasers to overhaul. Would you want to put any money on the above scenario?

This was game week 25 in 2015-16.
Same game week as we are now in 2019-20. Only two points less than season we won it. If Harvey Barnes or Evans has taken their chances against Chelsea we’d be on exactly the same points now as in season we were crowned champions.
Look how excited we were then compared to frustration of this season!

As a fan base we’ve changed. Maybe not for the better.

And we thought the ‘top 6 teams’ were bad that season! Somehow the leaders are ahead by 22 points and Sheff united and wolves are in shout for a top 4 place. Football eh?

I did this too, I didn't look after each prediction so as to not be influenced!!

1.Liverpool

2. Man city

3.Spurs

4.Leicester

5.Wolves

6.Sheff utd

But of course none of the predictions take into account :Where the teams are in Europe, Major injuries, resting first team players cos the league is won/gone, playing with freedom cos a team is already relegated, new manager bounce, beach balls on the goal line etc etc.

you can only predict as if every game was played next week, so it's all bo**ocks really!!
