What was the best take away kebab place after a night out circa 98/99/00?? I would have to say Marios chippy on braunie gate. Anyone else?

Was good in it's day, but ended up a shithole towards the end.

Alivels - I know I went in there after most nights out. Burger and a Fanta after another unsuccessful night in krystals / Kudos / creation / fan club

I had a 100% record at Krystals

That was awesome, I genuinely felt grief when that went. Did it burn down?

The owners sold up, then new owners starting doing crap food, got poor ratings, people were bringing there own booze and and getting pissed, then they sold up and it go renamed etc

What you didnt enjoy getting a bag of chips then going into the the bar next to it for a little boogey??

Also just to add. My vote goes to Czarcones on Narborough Road. Forgot how u spell it but it was next to the coop. Best chippy in Leicester imo when it was open.

Zarcones was quality, the guys that run the barbers on Hinckley Road, Up the Junction are from the same family.

I recall stumbling out of the Fan club, and just round the corner by the bus station was another one.

USA kebabs I think but may be wrong. I had a mate (well part of our drinking group) that was on the wrong end of a roundhouse kick to the face. Badly injured but very funny.

Is this the same place where everyone used to go in the mid 80's when braunstone gate used to be rammed in the street. Used to go there most friday's, pissed as a rat though after JT's, Mr Kaisers, the corn exchange, the toothy fox,  that shitty student pub near the town hall,  Three cranes (The landlady with pint pot stuck down her cleavage) and the Palais for the chance of a pull!

People used to rave about late 90’s TJ’s burgers. The chippy round the corner from the fan club and Sector always had chips and curry sauce with a welcome taste when hungry at 2am.
