Signings like Clark, Lallana, Vestergaard (though I hate this last one) aren't glamorous, but are necessary for when we hit Christmas / fixture congestion pile-up. Is he actually any good there? He's definitely more of a central defender and the ideal LCB in a 3-4-1-2 but for picking up a player to cover left back he'd be more than adequate. I'd like us to get him for central defence anyway, his lack of height the only potential concern.
