AKCJ Posted 16 June 2020 Posted 16 June 2020 You'd like to think that Matt Hancock feels like a right ****ing plum for calling footballers out but you know he and his Tory cronies are all patting themselves on the back for this.
RowlattsFox Posted 16 June 2020 Posted 16 June 2020 Rashford showing the way to make change, using social media effectively and making eloquent statements. Better than shouting and abusing on twitter.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 June 2020 Posted 16 June 2020 I thought this was in the transfer thread for a moment anyway great stuff from Rashford

This has been an absolute masterclass in dealing with a social issue, getting everyone onboard with no mudslinging/ political afflictions and getting changes at the top.

A great effort from Marcus, to be honest the guy deserves a clap at every ground when fans return. This is the kind of thing that makes a difference in 2020 Britain, clear, eloquent, fair, and calm. It proves if you present something with enough thought you can get something done. A great example of a role model, a footballer using his platform to deliver real positive change. Credit also to the government for making the correct decision in this case too. It proves to the government, listen to the people. It's nice to think that every ground he plays in there will be supporters that have been hugely helped because of him.
Tuna Posted 16 June 2020 Posted 16 June 2020 Build him a statue and I'm not even joking. Lad's a bloody inspiration.

Foxin_Mad Posted 16 June 2020 Author Posted 16 June 2020 He has shown himself to be far above many without resulting to petty name calling and petty political point scoring and my party is better than your party nonsense. Quite honestly what an inspiration. We all I think have quite a bit we could learn from Marcus, maybe if everyone took one bit the world would be a much better place.
RobHawk Posted 16 June 2020 Posted 16 June 2020 Fair dews, he deserves a huge amount of praise for not only what he has achieved, but the manner he went about it. For such a young bloke too, you can only take your cap off to him.

Absolutely, I think he has showed us if you behave with dignity and respect, we are much more likely to be rewarded with dignity and respect. He was able to garner support from a huge spectrum of people from different political persuasions with his coherent and concise argument. Quite honestly it was almost impossible for the government not to do it. If he had gone in all guns blazing shouting 'oi you evil Tory milk snatcher, gi us some food for the kids ya scumbag murderers' I very much doubt he would get the same result. Lesson to be learnt for many I feel. Talented lad. His mum must be proud.

Praying that it’s not a media team behind it.

To be honest I am astounded to see how he handles in self at 22. Theres a future leader right there in football or elsewhere.

Know what you mean but I think I'm with foxin_mad on this one, the way he speaks /posts is quite consistent.
Foxin_Mad Posted 17 June 2020 Author Posted 17 June 2020 Just to pop it out there Hancock is dyslexic. He has had issues with names in the conferences.
