Hasn't been policed in Leicester anyway. Practically can do what you want with no consequences.

Exactly..use a bit of common sence!

So basically if you are in Greater Manchester etc you can still travel freely around, go to the pub, eat in a restaurant, go to the shops etc as long as you are not from different households.

Meanwhile in Leicester, where there were 22 new cases yesrerday, you can't do many of those things,

That’s not how you tell people you’re enforcing lockdown, listing areas from the notes app in your phone, screenshotting it and whacking it on Twitter.

Oadby and Wigston out of lockdown. Confirmed by local mp.

So it begins the puzzle like tweets and information via media interviews rather than an actual press release

LFE isn’t in lockdown. Braunstone town also out of it I think.

Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said there had been a "marked change in the picture" with regard to the spread of Covid-19 in the area.

"I ask all Greater Manchester residents - young and old alike - to protect each other by observing these new requirements," he said.

"They will be reviewed weekly;

And Leicester? Presumably next time there's an eclipse.

It's a disgrace isn't it. All it would have taken is an a4 press release from the govt and it could easily have cleared everything up without doubt. I can't work out whether they are incompetent, don't care or are being deliberately vague. Which ever it is it's a massive scandal.

Neil O'Brien the Wigston and Oadby MP says they're out of lockdown.

Always good to have a clear and positive statement from the Government.

I never know what classes as Braunstone town. Is that over where the beeches pub used to be? She lives on Braunstone Estate and was in the last lockdown zone by 2 streets

So I'm in the lockdown area, but I work in Wigston, where I'll be spending most of my waking hours spreading my filthy germs!

If I was a shop, bar or restaurant owner in town, I'd open now.

What's to lose? Hancock is hellbent on destroying it. I'd see him in court.

Agreed just open up

Have they said what it would take to get Leicester out of lockdown, at any stage?

Like how they did the road map for the country in May? What's the plan? What's the case number meant to come down to? Surely 22 cases (all not even today alone) is low enough to open the city back up, especially after how much testing has gone on.
