I think they should be allowed, but only after you've used up your original three subs. Which is going to be later in in the game if it happens. Then the opposition also gets to make an extra sub at the same time if they've used all their three.

That would stop 99% of anybody going down deliberately holding their head.

Anyone notice how a lot of commentary these days is just a shit load of stats?

It's not commentary. If I wanted stats or records I could look them up myself.

Concussion subs should be temporary substitutes for anyone with a head bump, so they can have a proper concussion test - to be done properly these take a lot longer than a minute or two on the sidelines.
If the player is concussed then they stay off, if not they return to the field.

This would also stop clowns going down clutching their face every time someone gets within an mm of their head.

It’s all rehearsed rubbish to make it sound like they know what they are talking about.

And Keown isn't sure what Cedric is thinking for the goal. Quite clearly a pass back to Gabriel which wasn't picked up on by him :dunno:. It's not rocket science!

The arse licking of Grealish from the commentators is nauseating. Important foil for his team, yeah right outside their penalty box which they nearly concede from

How's that not a red card? Last man.

Does Keown know the rules? Banging on about attempting to play the ball, that makes no difference outside the box when it's a clear goalscoring opportunity. (not that i think that was)

I'm sorry but that was not a foul in my opinion. However if it was deemed to be a foul it is a definite red card surely? Or am I missing something?

Got to be a clear goal scoring opportunity to be a red. I don’t think that was

A long way from goal, not a clear goal scoring opportunity IMO

Does distance matter if he's the last man? I can remember Gary Cahill being sent off on the half way line for Bolton for exactly that.

Villa are such a dirty team. Constant fouling and then as soon as grealish gets touched they're outraged.

I can see in that case it could be subjective which would be why VAR didn't intervene. My first reaction was it wasn't a foul but when it was given I was expecting the red.

Keown is becoming Savage and Hargreaves and Owen levels of shit.

Ball goes out for a throw. 'he's hit the ball out there hasn't he?' well duh.

Do it how they do it in American football. If a player goes down with a head injury they have to get a proper 5-10 minute long assessment in the changing rooms, and in the meantime you can make a concussion sub until you determine if the injured player is okay or not. If he is, he can be subbed back on.

Made the mistake of looking at AFTV. All that little skinny nob with the hat on ever goes on about constantly is "he should have been booked/sent off." He does my head in.

Don't forget the constant diving and throwing themselves on the floor.

Vile club.

The bottom line is they shouldn't even be in the league this season. Nothing can be done about that and it is what it is but I can't believe how often that gets overlooked and so little fuss was made about it even at the time, if it had an impact on the top of the table they'd still be talking about it now.
