SouthStandUpperTier 5,421 Posted 4 October 2020 Report Share Posted 4 October 2020 Back in league action today, home to Durham Women. Another 2-2 draw. Another last gasp equaliser. Unbeaten in 3 to start the league campaign.

ALC Fox 1,328 Posted 11 October 2020 Report Share Posted 11 October 2020 1-0 2-0 2-1 Two crackers from us but a goalkeeping error gave Liverpool hope. Not a bad result against the league leaders though. Looks like our ladies have a good side this season! 1
Vlad the Fox 2,336 Posted 11 October 2020 Report Share Posted 11 October 2020 Great result. Anyone know if there’s any likelihood of being able to go down and watch anytime soon? I used to enjoy my Sunday afternoons down there with a couple of pints. Considering I can go and watch quorn play there.
SouthStandUpperTier 5,421 Posted 18 October 2020 Report Share Posted 18 October 2020 4-1 away win at Palace today. Up to 3rd in the table. Game hinged on a red card for Palace. 1-0 down until then.

Popular Post Vlad the Fox 2,336 Posted 6 December 2020 Popular Post Report Share Posted 6 December 2020 Top of the league after 3-0 win over London bees. We’ve played and beat some of those teams around us near the top this season, I reckon we could be serious contenders for the title. Hopefully we can get down there before the end of the season as it would be a shame for them to celebrate promotion without supporters. Plus I really miss my Sunday afternoons down there.

talking_goldfish 178 Posted 9 December 2020 Report Share Posted 9 December 2020 (edited) Just beat WSL side Birmingham City on penalties which gave us the group win to go through to the Quarter Finals of the Women's League Cup. Played really well in the match and even though it ended 0-0 we deserved the win in normal time, plus our keeper saved a penalty in the first half to keep the scores level. Foxxed 4,083 Posted 9 December 2020 Report Share Posted 9 December 2020 Does anyone watch this online? If so, where? That FA player thing?

Yes, this game was live on the FA Player and the Birmingham City Facebook page. Only Brummie commentary but they were very complimentary about us.

Great to see us progressing so well since January time really I think since Plumptre came in, she organised the defence, the women’s Robert Huth moment. Before then they couldn’t defend, weak at corners and set pieces and looked as though relegation was a possibility. Other players came in but she seemed to be the start and they looked really good second half of the season with the highlight being the cup win over reading.

Apparently, she's from Asfordby, which is in the Melton Borough of Leicestershire.

Good call on the Huth comparison, she’s really taken the defence up a few levels and with the likes of Levell in goal and Tierney & De Graaf coming in now too we’ve really got a WSL back line
