Laughable, The USA is not just broken, it is about to collapse in on itself.

We are literally watching the collapse of an empire.

"Nero fiddled while Rome burned" is nothing on this total clusterf**k of a leader who is playing golf, whining online and pouring petrol on the fire while "his" empire is burning itself to the ground.

I genuinely fear for the safety of that society if Trump loses and refuses.

I wanna move to Canada, its like USA 2.0, and also, a slightly better UK, but, past personal crim lyf (10 years ago) prevents such a move :(

 

plz take me in Canada. I would move there in a heartbeat, as would the missus.

look at this guy Staines massive over here. Mr Ali G himself. Lol

 

My uncle spent time @ welford road prison and somehow came here. Quite the trip back to england going to visit him there several times.

 

I am completely biased and will say Canada is much better though.

Tbh my crimes were piracy, and canada seems to be a bit of a safehaven for such crimes so maybe they'll let me in.

You never know until you try. I have no idea how tough they have become on immigration. So long as I don't get my arse deported to Welford we are good lol

 

I remember stepping off a plane back from England  and literally standing outside the plane as we disembarked was my cousins husband who worked as an immigration officer at pearson at the time.  I  didnt get rubber gloved so he is a good man lol

Well, he evidently thinks it is as a result of being given a positive test result or he wouldn't say what he said. I guess we'll know for sure as things develop.

Sorry - wasn’t disputing the fact that he says he has it. 
 

He could be personally cured by Jesus next week to send his fundy Christians into mad fervour. 
 

He could cure himself by taking hydroxychloroquine and raking in millions from the profits. 
 

He could cure himself by injecting bleach (just, you know, cos). 
 

He could emerge unscathed (I BEAT it, it’s NOTHING to be scared of!!!!!) to show the world that coronavirus isn’t that bad and America should just get back to work/school, etc. 

 

He gets out of the car crash debates. 
 

No idea if it’s true or not, just inclined not to believe anything he says.

It's certainly possible that this could just be a last-ditch PR move, because there are some possible benefits to it as you have highlighted.

 

The only counterpoint I'd offer is that to blokes like Trump, getting sick like this is a sign of weakness (especially after downplaying the virus itself) and they can't abide that. And he really needs the debates to be able to lay into Biden and prop up the poll numbers so he'd want them to go ahead.

 

So if this is all a calculated way of winning votes at the last minute, it's a risky one - but then it's plausible given how he stands right now he may feel a risk is all he has left.

How bad is it in the swing states ?  I though it wasn’t cut and dried ? 
 

what is the protocol if a candidate becomes too ill to campaign ??? Is there any precedent for a postponement??

Current situation where things are quite close:

 

Texas - Trump + 3.6%

Iowa - Trump + 2.3%

Georgia - Trump +1.2%

North Carolina - Biden +0.6%

Ohio - Biden +0.6%

Florida - Biden + 1.7%

Arizona - Biden + 2.6%

Pennsylvania - Biden + 5.1%

 

And Trump needs every single one of those to win. I mean, it's possible so it's not cut and dried, but...

 

WRT being unable to continue a campaign, the vice-president of the campaign then becomes the candidate by default, I think. No precedent for a delay.
