What's the most wild animal you've seen?

Recommended Posts

I went back down there and I’m not too sure now. It looked massive at the time, but it might not have been as big as I thought.

I messaged the local paper and they were really keen. They still wanted to run the story despite it being potentially a beefy house cat, so they met me there to take photos lol

There'd better be a photo of you looking puzzled.

A bit like Ron here, when his Mrs refused to pay the Virgin bill that had porn on it and he denied all knowledge.

Sure Ron.

Course it was a Puma lol

Starting to think it could’ve been a Bengal. I’ve worked out I can get to the exact spot where it was so should have a good idea of size within the hour.

Do you mean a Bengal tiger? Come off it. Looks nothing like any kind of tiger.

It isn't impossible, like Big Foot, which does add a certain spice to proceedings.

It's entirely possible there could be a form of big cat out there. I do doubt the idea there are panthers/jaguars though. Those things are so aggressive I think we'd have had a good few maulings of the public.

Definitely not buying the whole Bigfoot thing.

So many people hunt in the US that there are literally millions of trail cams and hunting cams all over any forest areas, yet amazingly  only  blurry far off unrecognizable images are captured..

I follow a Facebook group called people in local papers holding things up and when the guy asked for me to crouch next to the spot and point to where the tiger was I almost cracked up 🤣

What a day for foxestalk this is. I’ve had 2 group chats all debating what kind of big cat it was all afternoon

Hopefully I’ll be able to provide clarity soon. Jill from the Stratford Herald has sent the images to a friend who’s an expert on big cat's.

At the moment it’s potentially just a big cat, not a so called “Big Cat”.

Think big foot is more likely mountain apes in Asia ain't it? The realist explanation.

Can't remember fully but thought Brian Blessed said something of the same ilk.

My two faves not including some incredible stuff in Kruger.

Came face to face with a Cassowary and it's young whilst walking in the Daintiness Rainforest one afternoon with the other half. They are very protective animals and have killed men before, especially when with their young. You do not turn your back and run away under any circumstance. So I turn around to tell the Mrs to stay calm and guess who isn't there anymore.......

Then the yellow eyed penguins on a desolate beach (sandfly bay) on the peninsular near Dunedin (New Zealand) Just sat in the hill waiting for quite a while and then all of a sudden late afternoon they start appearing in the shallows coming back onto the beach after a days hunting. Dodging the angry Sea Lions on the way back down the beach was fun.

The ray wasn’t too happy either

Well it gave me a hell of a love bite.

I made the mistake of having my food pouch dangling in front of my tackle.

Was a tricky explain to the missus
