Ok we were well beat and it probably made no difference to the result. His miss was crucial.

A hard  lesson was given by Livarpool, and it shows how  far we have to go.

Our overall progress is slow, but it is still progress, the squad is getting better and deeper.

What Rogers is doing is slow, the time he gave Gray and Mendy resulted in a 50% success rate, when most on here had given up on both.

The attack for sure, looks the next part to be upgraded, and it will not be Vardy under question, so that leaves his partners, in particular Harvey I think will be the target.

He has to improve his finishing, his all round play is good enough, but the chances Vardy gives him should be resulting in more goals.

I think from now on Rogers will try to replace Barnes with Under as the next step.

A bit harsh I think. 3 goals and a couple of assists already this season which obviously doesn’t include goal contributions and chances created. He’s a much better player than what he was a year ago, he’s willing to run with the ball and constantly gives the defence something to worry about.

The reality is that he should be a 15 goal a season player if you look at his shot conversion which is obviously frustrating, but he’s still very young and I have no doubt he will develop into a top player.

Granted he wastes a decent amount of opportunities, but he won't improve on that without game time. Once it clicks for him in front of goal, he'll be one hell of a player.

No chance. He is our future. Barnes starts every big match for us. No way will Rodgers be looking to replace him and rightly so.

Where do you think that Rogers improves the team from here?

If you're looking at the front players then surely Perez is more at risk.

Barnes is a work in progress.

Have some patience.

His wastefulness has to become a concern at some point or another *but* he offers us so much else and is still learning. He's fantastic and I think the frustration of many fans with each miss is that they're desperate for him to be a star for us because he's so bloody likeable.

The most pressing area of concern for me is the goalkeeper tbh.

I think Barnes has been over-hyped for a long while....but he will be the player people think he already is in time....he just needs to be given time to improve his finishing and for people to remember that he's still only 22 and this is only his 1st/2nd full season in the PL

Team doesn't need improving its fine as it is. It's about improving what we have. We have one of the top 5 or 6 squads in the country.

Thats what I am trying to say Rogers has that patience. I am just suggesting that this area is maybe his chief concern at the moment.

Some of us are becoming entitled Arsenal type fans.

We have come such along way in recent times. Even qualifying for any European competition was a distant dream not so long ago.

We go on a good run & we are world beaters, lose a game & we are cannon fodder. A bit of perspective is needed.

Obviously this is another over reaction but Barnes needs to be the upgrade on himself. His finishing is the obvious problem but lots of players miss chances, Liverpool's front 3, Sterling all miss a lot of chances. Its more his lazy touches, and simple passes that infuriate me sometimes. Underhits or overhits passes on a regular basis. Noone better when he knocks and runs past someone, needs a bit more finesse and techniques sometimes. He's a must for us though, just hope he can tidy his game up a bit.

You may be correct about our striking/finishing but why pick on Barnes? Sure he needs to improve his finishing but our problem is a lack of chances, we're fortunate to have Vardy whose chances to goals ratio is off the scale. Any top rate strike would be hard pushed in our set up to knock up a lot of goals.
