Thought he was fine today. His is a low bar but between today (decent) and Derby (excellent) he's ok for now, not that we have much choice.

Thought he linked up well with Stephy going forward, which is not always the case.

The likes of Fatawu, Mavididi and Jordan James carrying Luke Thomas like he was carried by Maddison, Tielemans and Barnes.

Fortunately for us, we have a lot of good players for this level that save Luke Thomas from being frozen out.

When Thomas gets put into a worse team (his loan at boro and sheff utd), the manager of said team sees his true colours.

Not sure you can claim Mavididi is carrying anyone. He’s not even doing his own job

Loves a rugby tackle ,definitely need a left back

Being pedantic here but having played and watched a lot of rugby, kind of insulting people think a pansy Luke Thomas could make a Rugby tackle. It’s more a cuddle from behind then fall on top of them.

It's an embarrassment, school playground stuff. He's done it numerous times this season.

Just shows up his flaws and what a poor defender he is.

to be fair he has had three decent games….needs pointing out yesterday, Fatawu tracked back to assist Ricky P with Philogene (pace being the issue) Thomas gets very little from Steph…..

Listening to the crowd on receiving a pass, you can hear the gasp of anticipation just wondering what he is going to do to cock it up. Reminds me of the Filbert Street days with a certain Jon Sammels when he received the ball.

He's a mid level championship full back. Like several players in our squad. I guess that's why we're now a mid table championship club! Thought he was ok yesterday.

We are so desperately poor at left back. Thomas is not championship level. Sometimes he’s ok but it’s the inconsistency that shows him up. He’s a liability for more games than he’s an asset. We desperately need a quality player in that position in the January window.

And maybe another 6 or 7 quality players 🤣

This manager leaves and surely he'll be out on another mediocre loan somewhere?

4 fvcking years.

I assume they thought that putting him on a long contract would help us get a decent fee for him. But instead he'll still be stinking out the place in 2029.

Can't remember a player having a career like he's had. Gone from looking competent alongside good Premier League players and starting the winning FA Cup final to not getting into a Boro team out on loan.

Then somehow managing to go from not getting in a Championship team on loan to starting for us again in Premier League. Then starting again for us despite a hell of a lot of performances where he looks out his depth.

He's had the odd really good performance for us. That Liverpool game, Forest last season and Derby this season. Always wanted him to do well but just comes a point when you can't defend him any more. He will be a squad player for us for the next couple of years before we hopefully convince someone to take him on.

This.

I can’t recall seeing anything like this before. Four and a half years ago he was good enough to keep Salah quiet and play well in an FA Cup Final.

Now, he doesn’t look capable of playing football, never mind professionally. League 1? League 2? No way, he’s miles off both.

Giving him a four year contract, presumably on more than minimum wage, has got to be one of the five worst decisions ever taken at this club.

And there are hundreds of atrocious decisions to choose from.
