Back a lot of the decisions this regime make, even its questionable but Jacks is bizarre. Its not like Rehan isn't around the squad all the time, they clearly aren't keen on leg spin in test cricket and don't trust him.

Other than its as expected.

When was the last time Jacks even played a red ball game for Surrey? It’s a joke selection when you consider Rehan Ahmed’s season or even Liam Dawson, who is a better bowler and has a better batting average than Jacks.

3 innings in total this season batting wise so assume 2 games?

5 wickets at 38.8 in three Kookaburra rounds.

Woakesy retires from international cricket.

The way the older generation in the last few years have been treated after giving so much to the red ball team is nothing short of a disgrace.

As long its been done professionally with grown up honest discussions I don't really have a problem with it. We had to bring the fresh blood of bowlers ahead of this Ashes tour so had to move Anderson and Broad on at some point, and time is right for Woakes too I reckon.

Big fan of Woakes and has been one of my favourite England players in recent times, just seems like a top bloke.

If he can stay fit Woakes will pick up bundles of county wickets.

Woakes was never being picked for The Ashes, he has generally struggled on overseas tours. He is a totally different bowler over here, he has the perfect conditions & a Dukes ball.

As you correctly say, a top bloke.

I would say that Australian pitches suit Chris Woakes a lot more the English ones these days.

Disappointed this announcement basically came from a Rob Key interview clip, Woakes had earned the right to announce his retirement before letting that clip be released.

Rob Key is really adding a bad taste to English cricket

Got my ticket for Trent Bridge Day 1, 3rd Test v NZ. Hopefully snatch one for The Oval.

Probably target Southampton & Edgbaston for the Ashes

Leaving just Old Trafford as the only test ground yet to visit

Good to see the Windies showing at least some fight after following on here.

I just had to tempt fate there.

Six wickets lost for around 50 runs, India will in all likelihood have a nominal target to chase.

At least it isn't an innings loss, I guess.

Realistically about as good a performance as you could expect in the circumstances.

If countries like India (and us) want more competitive Test cricket on their home turf then they need to make sure their opponents get fairer finding.
