It’s clear to me that we’re after a ‘worker’ with some quality. I’m all for it.

Yeah thats why Faivre ticks all the boxes. We need a left footed winger as we are criminally short of natural left footed players. Faivre or Trincao have quote favourable defensive stats as well as being technically very good.

I still get the feeling Trincao may be available this summer. Barcelona really need to shift players if they are to bring anyone in.

A young Marc Albrighton/Freddie Ljungberg hybrid

Was just thinking about looking for an Albrighton type of player after reading that he has set up more chances in less minutes than Maddison, would be a great signing if it happens..

We would say, where is the other 80m?

That's the thing ,we value Youri very highly and Barca value Trincao. At 21 he is a likely successor to Griezmann no way he comes to Leicester for less than 50 million. Its good to dream but it is not going to happen.

Since last season his value has dropped. He has not lived up to the hype on the pitch. The manager has said he’s not in the plans with how they are going to be playing. They are cash strapped.

40m would land him in almost sure of it. But don’t be surprised if he ends up going for less

Seems so pointless buying him unless you have a big oaf of a striker in the box whos going to get on the end of these crosses.. which we dont

Barcelona need money badly. Half decent offer for Trinket and they’ll accept - I know these things.

£35-£40 million and done. Two good seasons and we sell on for £80 million. Happy days.

If the Barca manager doesn't rate him ,why should we? However he will probably still be there long after their next two or three managers.

I was in favour of this last summer, but he's signed a contract extension now, and his stats haven't improved, they've infact got worse.

For the 30m he'd cost, I think we can do much better, especially as we seem to have a fantastic scouting team, although maybe not when it comes to wingers

That is like saying why should Forest Green Rovers sign a Leicester reserve player because the Leicester manager doesnt rate him. Slight difference in ability levels..

McNeil is one of the worst wingers in the league for end product given his supposed strongest asset is crossing and set pieces to 2 great big lummox up front.

....horses for courses!!!

He has been asked to play in a certain way, to supplement the way his existing manager needs him to play. It is right for them, but McNeil is so much more, we can not be limited in the way we perceive his potential to improve our team.

Too often with this team we are on the front foot and taking the game to the other team and looking top class, but as usual we fall down with the final ball in the last third and we fail to take advantage of our superiority and the game swings as our opponents rides it out and we can not continue at the pace we have set. Composure is what he will bring, and he can pick out a player, with accuracy and weight of pass, our lack of composure has been a big thing with this team, we could murder a lot of teams but the final ball is just not there.

FFS

So we should never buy players that other clubs don't think fit in with their ethos?

That would cover most of 2015/16 squad.

True but Trincao would cost more than that entire squad. We almost never buy players from major clubs who are in or approaching their prime. Remember Fofana cost over 30 million , if he had been a PSG player that would have been 50 million.

1.4 tackles per game, and amazing attacking stats. been a fan for years would love him here

I find it strange that he is still at Sassuolo, gets linked to the big Italian clubs all the time but just never seems to move, seems like he loves it there

Can see him doing a De Rossi / Totti and just never leaving them

Would absolutely take him at Leicester though, but no doubt it would probably cost quite a lot to get him

Michael Olise will be on the radar in the summer surely, Reading in a world of bother financially.

....would be fantastic to pick him up....but there are other priorities such as on the right and the forward position!!!

Olise could be seen as a luxury, we would have the midfield covered by Sowah and KDH not forgetting Tavares, it is not easy to work out what Brendan will view as his type of player but someone like Olise would get the King Power off their seat when we all get back.

Trincao is 21 so not even close to his prime.
