I agree mate completely, just thinking on paper yeah 4 wins is very possible but winning 4 league games in a row doesn’t happen too often

I'm sure they'll be protests for a while yet, so yes, unless everyone's worked out the solution by then.

The maximum points West Ham and Chelsea can get is 73 each though as they plsy each other the most they can both get is either 73/70 or 71 each. Liverpool can get 71.

 

Therefore 72 points guarantees top 4 though it likely 68-69 points should be enough.

Other than fans of West Ham, I have a feeling we're going to be everyones second favourite team again and wanting us to get into the Top 4. 

I'm wondering if this extra boost of love can help us over the line like it did in 2016.

yeah, it's the fact we play them away towards the start of the season, an towards the end of this season with no real major gap in between, time generally feels like groundhog day, hopefully the end of this season, doesn't feel that way.

Anyone else noticed a conspicuous absence of us in the "race for top 4" articles?  Specifically, like we're not considered to drop out.  Reading about the West Ham vs. Chelsea game at the weekend triggered this and I really wish I had the same confidence as whoever is writing those articles.  Guess tonight's result might change, or reinforce (please!) that perception.  Also guess the writers are looking at it in isolation without the mental scars of Bournemouth away...

I've made a few changes: Removed Man U and Villa they are both irrelevant. Changed the points spread to include the entire range of 64-71 points to account for the chasing pack's potential maximum points. 

 

Needless to say, since the 3-2 loss at West Ham, results have been close to perfect. It's now looking much closer to 68 points being the requirement (my very initial prediction too I might add ) 

 

3 more wins puts us on 68 and you can see that every other team would have to average 2.2 points or higher per game to get there. Arsenal are obviously out, needing maximum points and for everyone else to drop a ton. 

 

We've now got the best overall points per game, the joint 2nd points per game over the last 10 matches and the 2nd after Liverpool, in the last 5. We can drop down to 1.5 points per game and still get to 68.

Aren't all the 2nd to last games been moved to midweek 18th or 19th before the final match to ensure all teams get a chance to play in front of their home fans?

Thanks. That sounds familiar. I'm guessing dates haven't been decided. Depends on how covid cases pan out in the next few weeks?
