There’s probably as much chance of winning the lottery as catching Covid in an outdoor setting

Why is it? Why should they have to behave any differently to anyone else? They might get paid a wallop and but they shouldnt have to behave differently to anyone else..

They’ve probably spent the best part of 12 months barely interacting with anyone in person outside of work. Even if they are well paid footballers it will do anyones head in eventually.

Fine them and move on. Even with Maddison we weren’t winning this today.

You know you can make the point about not needing to overreact and that this is sufficient punishment for them without making pathetic excuses for them. They represent your football club and have shown the square root of **** all respect for that

Leicester City: "[It] had the potential to undermine the efforts of Club staff to protect the environments in which our teams train and play. Appropriate measures have been taken to prevent our team bubbles being compromised"

Leicester City: “We wholly expect our people to behave in a way that reflects the national effort and the sacrifices made by our communities to control the spread of the virus"

Leicester City: "Those involved have apologised for their poor judgement. Our response to the matter will be concluded internally.”

To them its just a job and they don’t support the club. Whilst as a fan you’re invested the reality the players aren’t even if their media training teaches them to act as if they are.

Too many people taking this whole thing seriously. Footballers especially young and single ones have had to abide by some of the toughest rules going, even more so than the general public.

How can people continue to take the rules seriously when one of them is that you can’t kiss your husband or wife on your wedding day?

I still get they’ve broken rules though, however stupid they are. Fine them and move on. No further punishment required. People saying they should never play for the club again are over reacting massively...

oh behave. Taking this seriously? It’s a global pandemic where millions have died. Footballers have been one of the group that have had more liberties than most during this time as they’ve been allowed to carry on working and have social interaction with their team mates. It’s not asking the world to keep following those rules which have been pretty clear in their case.

You’re on to a loser if you are defending them in this one...

Thats not the point. They get played a fortune to play football and part of that at the moment is not to be pricks and go off to a party

You’ve made the point I made yourself. All they’ve been allowed to do is carry on doing their job, just like everyone else. Regardless of the job it is, if all you could do was work and see your colleagues and no body else for a year its going to have an effect. Throw in the fact they are under more scrutiny than the average joe they can’t bend the rules like most people have been to see their families and friends especially if they are young and single.

I’m not demeaning the pandemic, i’m on about the fans reaction to the breach of the rules. They aren’t a sackable offence.

They still represent the football club whether it’s a job or they’re invested as a fan. It’s still not a reason. They are in a high profile position where everything they do is a reflection on the club, they have a responsibility to act in a way that doesn’t act against the club’s interests.

But the distinction is also important because it is beyond bizarre that any fan of the football club would find any way to defend players who showed they didn’t give a **** about our most important game to date.

There were more excess deaths last year than any year since World War Two

@Madders10 @AyozePG hope you're feeling as low as all Leicester fans right now. Most unprofessional thing you could have done, before a huge huge game. Probably stamped on all morale we had. Let your team-mates, manager, chairman and fans down. Hope it was a great party 🙄

Just tweeted this as I'm now 99% it's true. It's not even the impact of not having two of our most creative players playing, squad morale will be in the dirt.
