Tinman Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 God, it's at times like this that I miss Dennis Skinner.... 1
Mike Oxlong Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 No doubt that Boris and his cronies have deepened division in the country with their fvck you approach to the truth and standards in public office
Sampson Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 Someone definitely timing these leaks pretty perfectly. f 2
Buce Posted 31 January 2022 Author Posted 31 January 2022 He's refusing to commit to publishing Gray's report in full on the grounds that "...he would have to consider if people gave evidence not expecting it to be published." What has this country become? 3
Farrington fox Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 As a staunch Tory, I can't defend this idiot. His position is untenable, the sooner 54 letters are submitted the better. He has to go or be got rid of. 2
Popular Post Górnik Leicester Posted 31 January 2022 Popular Post Posted 31 January 2022 Johnson is an absolute liability. Anyone backing him, and that includes the entire front bench, doesn't deserve to be anywhere near politics, and the party as a whole deserves to spend decades in the wilderness because of it. When a Labour leader is able to quote Thatcher in attack of the incumbent Tory PM, it shows how far their standards have fallen. Johnson's answers, particularly in response to the Prime Ministerial speech given by Starmer, were frankly embarrassing and not worthy of such office. Those cackling hyenas behind him were just as bad. 12
Sampson Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 The Prime Minister continuously says that he can't answer that question because there's a police investigation against him with a smirk on his face and his whole party cheers. Just another day in parliament in 2022.
worth_the_wait Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 I wonder if this thread should be renamed "The Echo Chamber" ? 1
st albans fox Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 I am pretty sure that I can read into Johnson’s replies to the questions about the cummings party in his flat that it was his wife who had the gathering and he wasn’t present ….. after all, the battle that saw cummings booted out was apparently one between him and mrs Johnson. No doubt mrs J had plenty of her closest people on a political level to share the booze and canopes with …..

st albans fox Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 can’t see there being 54 on those back benches willing to stick the knife in …… not unless someone like Sunak already has organised a ‘rebellion’ and promised ministerial jobs and new schools etc ….
fuchsntf Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 They say Germans don't have a sense of humour, but my Darling Wife Defends Boris & quips, he shouldn't & cant resign... he has all those children, & Women spread around the world he needs to support...Poor boy cant afford to resign.. 4

Everything goes quiet. Make a further claim, get another denial, leak an email, Reynolds will be thrown under the bus. Public are angry again. Someone's going to leak a photo of Johnson soon, I hope.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 31 January 2022 Posted 31 January 2022 MPs having to stand up and question this man is a waste of tax payer money. This horrible excuse for a human being should be gone. MPs shouldnt have to spend their time questioning him. So disappointing to have our time wasted like this. 1

It’s got nothing to do about views and ideology, he brings shame to our country, to the queen, he’s mocked the population and should resign. 5

Don’t know what she’s got to do with it tbh, in fact her and her family are a major part of the problem with class obsessions and obsequiousness we have in this country that normalises corruption and cronyism among the old boys networks the Tory Party thrives on and is used as a faux-nationalist symbol to justify abuses of power such as this government routinely undertakes. 2

It's only an "echo chamber" because those who seem to believe Johnson and his regime are not somehow indefensible can't seem to muster up the 1) confidence or 2) reasoning to articulate why, instead relying on sardonic comments or the laughing reaction to try and own the libs. Thanks for providing an example. Edited 31 January 2022 by RoboFox 13 1

To be honest, I don’t give a damn about the queen and the royal family offer me nothing, but to the right wing, she is everything ‘great’ about this country, if they’re happy with him taking the queen for a mug then I’d ask them to think again. 1

Or maybe the government/Johnson sycophants have finally realised that even their usual repertoire of mental gymnastics to defend the indefensible isn’t enough to deflect or muddy the water this time. I think most of the ones with a conscience know how utterly contemptible this government is, and we’re not even talking about the frankly authoritarian and dangerous legislation the government is pursuing 3
