Even if it does happen, it won't be done tonight.  First thing Monday morning club statement if it happens

I imagine he will be in the process of being sacked (gardening leave /  relieved of duties) right now.

We won't find out until tomorrow

I did this for a thread recently in response to this tale of Rodgers inviting Andy Carroll to a Tinie Tempah gig then bailing on him…

Haha! What a thoroughly likeable chap he sounds.

It’s not a money thing, Top wants him to turn it around.

Matt, even if he turns the round (..and i hope he can)  he  no leader. He is a cvnt.... there is no place for him in our club.  He is just spinning a narative to say he is not to blame.

Rodgers refuses to play certain players because they've allegedly criticised him and his tactics. In so doing it can be argued that he is deliberately sabotaging matches by strange team selections and substitutions in order to lose them and force the club to sack him which is what he wants. He has publicly said that some players are not currently good enough to be selected so by the same token the club could say the same about him. Refuse to let him pick the team. Don't sack him just yet if the payoff money is the issue, just pay his salary as usual, just as we do with players who aren't involved, let him sit in his office and don't let him anywhere near the squad. Let's see if results improve and then make a decision on his future at our club.

He now has at least three players frozen out, on combined wages of a couple of hundred grand a week.

How can the board allow him to just do that, it’s his job to manage these players and he’s blatantly not doing it

He's said we lack quality. F@#k me, that'll inspire the lads rightly.

We've gone from having a team of players who may not have been technically the most proficient but, Nigel had them fighting for each other, the cause and willing to walk through walls for him.

A team greater than the sum of its parts, winning the league.

Now we've got a team much worse than the sum of it's parts, and an uninspiring leader.

Why? It’s Sunday.

We must be the only club or company in the world that you could genuinely only expect executive/board level members of staff to work 9-5 Mon-Fri hours lol

That’s fine if you expect executive/board level folks to create, proof read and distribute a press release all on their own. lol

Ward and ndidi shared a couple "**** offs"

I'm sure every Leicester fan was fully behind Wilf saying that to Ward. The latter really does need to f off, as he is without doubt our worst keeper since Martin Hodge. Just shockingly bad.

You'd still expect to hear rumours of rumblings of an emergency meeting/sacking even if the official announcement isn't till tomorrow morning. Although "We've sacked Rodgers" will do. No statement required :D

Lol, so the ‘my team isn’t’ bit wasn’t actually said by him then.

That's a previous quote/paraphrase (hence the ellipsis where I stitched them together) from somewhere in this thread either on radio Leicester, Sky, or Talksport where he came out with the same I know we're disappointed that we haven't had any signings or a squad refresh straight after the match.

Obviously saying he's young and fresh at the same time as saying the team isn't.

Just a corner flag would be sufficient until the morning.
