Popular Post Pliskin Posted 4 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 4 September 2022 It’s a sad situation. It really is. What is most disheartening is Brendan’s attitude, this is a man who has seemingly given up on the club and given up on the players which is really sad. This is a group that’s achieved so much, and at the first sign of a struggle, he gives up. But it speaks volumes of his character, he clearly isn’t a fighter, and clearly just wants everything to be running his way or no way. Surely he’s got more about him than to blame the board, blame the fans and blame the situation. Surely you fight for your position? See it as a challenge try and maximise what you have? These are good players, but they look leaderless and uninspired….. Brendan has let himself down here massively, he’s purely been fighting to save his face, and not fight for his job. The sheer arrogance of the man has tainted my view of him, I thank him for the memories he has given us, I thank him for providing us with some of the best football we’ve seen at the KP for some time. But I don’t thank him for his attitude, and his willingness to throw the club under the bus to save his face, it’s rotten sportsmanship and downright ugly, he is almost portraying himself as being bigger than the club, and it’s unacceptable. Im sorry it’s going to have a bitter end Brendan, but you really need to look at yourself in the mirror after this….. 7 1

In so doing it can be argued that he is deliberately sabotaging matches by strange team selections and substitutions in order to lose them and force the club to sack him which is what he wants. He has publicly said that some players are not currently good enough to be selected so by the same token the club could say the same about him. Refuse to let him pick the team. Don't sack him just yet if the payoff money is the issue, just pay his salary as usual, just as we do with players who aren't involved, let him sit in his office and don't let him anywhere near the squad. Let's see if results improve and then make a decision on his future at our club. He now has at least three players frozen out, on combined wages of a couple of hundred grand a week. How can the board allow him to just do that, it’s his job to manage these players and he’s blatantly not doing it 4
Popular Post Corky Posted 4 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 4 September 2022 No manager in a workplace, especially one with such a high profile, should ever talk about other people coming in and wistfully wishing they'd replace the ones still there. These are human beings you deal with and you have to keep them onside. Would you give everything for a bloke who'd happily tell the world he wants someone else? Shocking management. 7 1
FoyleFox Posted 4 September 2022 Posted 4 September 2022 He's said we lack quality. F@#k me, that'll inspire the lads rightly. We've gone from having a team of players who may not have been technically the most proficient but, Nigel had them fighting for each other, the cause and willing to walk through walls for him. A team greater than the sum of its parts, winning the league. Now we've got a team much worse than the sum of it's parts, and an uninspiring leader. 1
BigGibbo Posted 4 September 2022 Posted 4 September 2022 Whatever happens we can never let him forget that comment 😂

That's a previous quote/paraphrase (hence the ellipsis where I stitched them together) from somewhere in this thread either on radio Leicester, Sky, or Talksport where he came out with the same I know we're disappointed that we haven't had any signings or a squad refresh straight after the match. Obviously saying he's young and fresh at the same time as saying the team isn't. Edited 4 September 2022 by BigGibbo
