What were his comments after the game?

It was an awful performance and I have to apologise to the supporters, To come here, the first game between the two sides for a long time, a great atmosphere, in derby games you need authority and you need physicality. Those two were sadly missing from our performance.

I said to the players after that for the first time since I’ve been here I’ve been embarrassed. It was an embarrassing performance. I feel for the supporters and the excitement of coming to here.

We brought the FA Cup into our team meeting today so the players could see what we went through last year to win this competition, to remind them of the day at Wembley and the journey, and what it takes to win a trophy like that.

I was looking to provide that motivation and extra desire to come out here today.

We went away to Stoke, away to Brentford, Brighton, Manchester United, Southampton and then Chelsea, European champions. We come here today and we were really disappointing.

It’s hunger. I said it before about having changes in the squad. It’s a lack of hunger.

Ok, we are missing players but we didn’t have the physicality to press in certain areas of the pitch and then you get destabilised when you make basic errors. Collectively and individually it was not great.

We still have a big part of the season to go. I hope the players can go away and reflect. I’m always very optimistic but we can’t mask over that, that’s a huge worry for me today.

We weren’t stable in our defending and then we get rocked by the second goal. Collectively the basics and fundamentals of the game weren’t there for us.

It cannot get any worse tbh

He makes many strange decisions like that.

Perez being his favourite then nowhere to be seen (thankfully).

Re-signing Mendy, plays him consistently then doesn't even give him a squad number.

The Praet situation.

Ignoring Iheanacho when he pretty much rescued us last season.

The whole Benkovic farce.

The list goes on.

Without going into an essay here, every point you have made there are very easily explainable.

I think tomorrow morning Brendan needs to draw a line in the Seagrave sand, the players that want to cross that line, then lets turn it into an 18 match season. The ones that are not so sure should go.

He must know who they are...

I think it'd be really difficult for him to question any players commitment to us when he's flirted with other jobs whilst being here

Is this an actual quote?

One positive that all the zonal marking critics will like was the magnificent man for man defending on corners.;)

I still ask this question?:

Do you think another manager can take this group of players and get them playing better than this?

I do…

To watch the quality of Ndidi, Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes, Justin in a team completely humiliated by a Championship side is just not on.

However much you like Rodgers, respect him and thank him for winning the FA cup, looking at our team today and watching them utterly mullered… Cmon, there’s got to be something wrong in that

He must have lost them somewhere unfortunately

Becoming more and more baffled by Rodgers in game decisions. Personally thought it was wrong to ditch Barnes and go 3-5-2, but ok fair enough, but to keep Lookman on and play him at wing back when have Albrighton and Ricardo on the bench, compounded it, and we had no structure or rhythm to our play at all.

Factor in the bizarre in game decisions vs Spurs and Brighton and you can make a case for Rodgers well and truly losing the plot

Is this in one of the bunkers on the 9 hole golf course or do the players also have access to an artificial beach ?

I agree, these are just bonkers situations.....

He pushed out Praet when Perez and Madders were playing terribly and now Perez is nowhere? I really don't understand the Praet situation at all.  I really feel for Kel too.  The guy has saved us so many times but then gets ignored? Brendan's man management is amazing with some yet seriously lacking with others.

Unless there is a clause in his deal that limits compensation to 12 months, I (unfortunately) cant see us sacking him

Contract is still worth about £24million-ish

Managers don't get paid off in full, it's usually a years wages. Sometimes even less. It's one of the biggest myths that managers get paid up in full.

Horrible day today, and one of the worst days watching Leicester since Deeney Day.
I get the frustrations of a lot, once I’ve cooled down and reflect on the whole season, I still think he’s the best man for the job.
We’ve regressed this year after 3 years of moving forwards. He’s already highlighted the need for a rebuild in the summer, Tielemans is an interesting decision for him, on one hand I would say drop him if he doesn’t want to be here, but on the other hand if he’s not playing we are losing millions in transfer fees that could be used to replace him.

We’ve gotten Rodgers the players he’s wanted. If he thinks he can’t do better than we’re currently doing then he shouldn’t be here. We deserve better.

Unfortunately even then it is about £10million and I just can't see us paying that much at the moment

Get the feeling he will be given the rest of the season and then he will be gone unless it dramatically improves between now and then

They should all walk the other side of the line then hopefully Captain Numnuts will wake up to his responsibilities too and hopefully piss off!

There's no way they'll sack him yet, I could see him losing his head though and walking. This month will get very nasty.

We lost today because tielemens went missing again, wilf seems to jog into positions he's unavailable for a pass, madders is coming in too deep to try to start something, we use the flanks far too often and lose possession and our defense is unsettled and useless.

But apart from that...
