Haven’t heard much about this chap, what position does he play and more important is he going to be good enough to force his way into our first team… 👍

Apparently he is best as a CAM/ striker playing through the middle but is considered a winger by most

Why?

We'd all do the same if Wales lost.

Quickly deleted this since it would seem… shame to not see a bit of decorum from the guy! Not a particularly great way to enamour yourself with any PL league fan..

Personally thought he had a very good tournament, but this was an unnecessary dick move 👎👎

Wait until you find out Kasper managed to rattle all of England with his “has it ever been home?” comments :frantics:

Replacing Maddison would require a player of similar age with the goals and assists  in a similar standard of football, with a sound injury record and hopefully a less accident prone off-field lifestyle. That sort of player is uncommon and desirable and would certainly take a similar amount of money to buy.

Nah, we'd get a winger and a 10 and replace is contribution with them.

You are right nobody is irreplaceable. but the transition may mean 10 dropped points and we struggle to maintain top 6. Jimmy has a lot of faults but he also has a very sharp brain and that is vital at the top level.

I think a Praet-Tielemans-Ndidi midfield with two properly attacking wingers could be dynamite.

No Soumare?

Gotta rotate em.  With no Maddison I think you need both Dennis and Youri in there most days, but Soumare can really rotate with any of those three.

See, I thought we tried that when Madders was injured, and we were just left with no connection between midfield and our attacking players. I don't know the exact stats of winning % when we have Wilf, Youri and Madders starting together off the top of my head, but I know it's impressive.

We won our first 3 matches of the season and scored 12 goals with Preat-Tielemans-Ndidi starting and no Maddison, and that was without a real RW.

But that's probably because our wingers were Perez and Albrighton lol

I agree though, the Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi combo is great and should be our 'best' combination but don't think it works when we play 2 upfront, Maddison needs space.

Pretty sure we were using Ndidi as a centre back with Mendy as the defensive mid in the games against West Brom and Burnley

Then Ndidi missed the Man City game and it was just Mendy and Youri with Praet as a wide midfielder

That sounds like a crap midfield combination.

worked well in the first 3 games last season. can't remember why he changed it, must've been injuries.

Ndidi was in defence at the beginning of the season.

...there were lot of opportunities to bring in Praet as another #8 with Maddison out of the team!!!

He still went for Perez to solve the problem, there is something just not right in this situation.
