Promoting Thai wisdom to the world, the Club’s latest retail launch is borne from King Power International’s ongoing efforts to support traditional production methods in Thai communities. The range includes three traditional textile techniques, hand-stitched on piew material and layered patchwork, resulting in a truly authentic set of products.

‘Thai Song Dum’ incorporates hand-woven natural cotton textile with traditional shuttle loom used by the Thai Song Dum community in Baan Don Manao Sub-District, Song Pi Nong District, to create environmentally-friendly and sustainable sportswear. The collection also reflects historical, philosophical and mindful traits in the Thai Song Dum wisdom, passed through generations for hundreds of years.

Speaking prior to the launch, Mrs. Khwanyuen Thongdonjuy, fifth generation of the Thai Song Dum community and head of the Baan Don Manao Textile Weaving Group, explains how ancient textile wisdom passed from older Vietnamese generations who had migrated during the Thon Buri Period, while emphasising the modern community’s pride in today’s unveiling.

“Thai Song Dum people in Suphan Buri Province settled in Baan Don Manao in 1900 and brought with them exceptional textile wisdom. They combined weaving, embroidery and dyeing to create traditional tribal clothing for the community. Today, we are proud to be able to showcase Thai Song Dum’s unique craftsmanship and wisdom in this collection, in which the villagers in Don Manao worked hard and put their passion and care into every item”.

Thats great but the club will be paying these people about 50 baht (£1) an hour to make it  so probably just the 100x mark up per jacket lol

Would a similar product be on sale in Thailand for a comparable price?

I have bought shirts at the Lcfc store in bangkok airport and they are similar prices but occasionally their sales are very good particularly if they don’t have the EPL branding or ladies gear. They do have some branded stuff that I have not seen on sale in the club shop.

general thai stores? absolutely not. something like the airport probably, they aren’t daft they know their audience.

I actually dropped by a random king power store in the middle of bangkok and everything was dirt cheap. Got a bunch of gear and some VS formal shirts which are sentimental to me now for about £3.

That is a complete disgrace.

People unable to pay bills, feed their families and the club want £200 for a naff bomber jacket.

Disgusting, especially with the price of tickets rising and so on. Someone who designed and planned this clothing range and the prices is completely out of touch.

but its reversable! thats 2 for for the price of one!

Another own goal by the marketing dept......if they had incorporated the video on the other page translated into English it would have made sense. As it is people are just going to look and think overpriced tat.If nothing else it would educate people.

I get that I meant in a local to store for local people.

lol you don’t have to buy it lads.

Amazing isn't it?

You have a few wet blankets like the one earlier saying it is a complete disgrace, cost of living, ticket prices rising, £200 for a naff bomber.

Are the club frog marching him into the store to hand over his money and buy one?

Posters on here moan and groan about prices yet on a match day a lot seem quite willing to pay £60 or whatever it is for a replica shirt most probably made out of recycled water bottles and look like 10,000 other lemmings in them. At least if they spent that same money on the t shirt they would look different. ;)

Vote with your wallet, don't like it, don't buy it. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I bought anything out of the shop. Way before bat flu.

It's fine saying, "if you don't like, it don't but it". But the club is looking to increase revenues. Which we all want.

Do they know what fans want to buy? If they are producing stuff that won't sell, that's not helpful is it.

For a club looking to increase turnover. Still not having the keeper kits which will actually sell. Still not online is a joke, what ever the supply line issues. If the figured look bad now. They aren't gonna improve with lost revenue streams like this.

Bur at least we have a 200 quid jacket that we might sell 7 off.

What would be the point of having it online if they don’t have any stock of it to sell?

Stock issues and what kit they can and can’t sell as a result is not the fault of the club

Why is it not the fault of the club. Most the other Adidas clubs have shirts available.
