I think so, but I’m sure someone posted in here a while back that there is already a women’s team that plays there. Unless they try and push them out but surely that would only be a temporary solution.

Didn't realise that! This hasn't really been thought through properly!Would be a shame if the women did that well last season and have nowhere to play in the city or county.

Especially when they’re likely to attract a much larger support than before.

Think that be complicated, last I heard Hinckley afc owned some and Leicester road Fc owned some. That was a few years ago so could be different now.

....if only we could re-develop the old Filbert Street space/car par and turn that into a a ground for the women's team!!!

That would just tie up everything so far as the club is concerned and would have brought us full circle. An 8k  stadium would be great, it would be central and everyone knows how to get there and walk up supporters would be secured.

Finance after a pandemic is going to be the major point in this and you would have thought some thought would have gone into a home ground for the team after what they had achieved last term.

I think this is the main problem. That ground is just being wasted because the relevant parties cannot come to agreements.

I believe Leicester Road play there but aside from that, not much going on with it. Real shame.

Yes they do, swear I heard changing rooms were Hinckley AFC so Leicester road had to get changed somewhere else in the ground?

LCFC Women have completed the signing of midfielder Connie Scofield after the expiry of her contract with Birmingham City Women, subject to FA clearance.
- Midfielder Connie Scofield puts pen to paper on a deal with LCFC Women
- The 22-year-old moves to the Foxes after a spell with Birmingham City Women
- She has represented England at various youth international levels

The 22-year-old, who has featured for England at various youth international levels, moves to the Foxes ahead of their first-ever Barclays FA Women’s Super League season.

She joined Birmingham City at the age of nine and subsequently progressed all the way through the development system before signing her first professional contract with the Blues when she turned 16.

Speaking to LCFC TV following her move to the Club, she said: “It’s pretty amazing really and I’m just so excited to be here. When Leicester came in, I was over the moon. It was a big decision, but it just felt right.”

In total she made 29 league appearances for the Blues, including eight in 2020/21 as the side placed 11th in the WSL standings.

Internationally, she has represented England at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 levels.

King Power was the only decision really but its still a shame about the (at least) 3 Burton fixtures. They aren't aligned with the Europa league dates so I'm a bit confused how they've decided these already?

Edit.....Looking at the dates it seems to me they've selected these matches to save the pitch in winter, lets hope no more will have to be moved although I'd say its unlikely.

That vid really does highlight how shabby (well faded) our seats have become.

Anyway great news about the KP. Might try to get down to a few games!

Better than burton but I really liked quorn, the smaller venue, being able to wander round the ground and watch it were you felt like, (a bit like when watching the cricket), and a good pint of Guinness at a good price. Plus the smaller venue helped with t(e atmosphere. However at the KP at least I’ll be able to go more often than somewhere well out of town.

£40 for a season ticket is great value as well should see a decent attendance

Don’t forget free for accompanying under 8’s.

I can take my kids for the whole season for less than what it costs us to see one Men’s game. I’ll be getting season tickets on Friday to get a few more visits to KP this year. Going to be a bit full on when we have two games a weekend like 11th and 12th September. Love it haha

Huge statement of support to be playing at the KP. Very encouraging for the development of the women's game 👏

I’d like to agree and say it was a compliment to the ladies but I think it’s just a result of there being nowhere else suitable for them to play unfortunately. Either way, really looking forward to it.

Does anybody know if we’ll have the same seats every game as season ticket holders? The article says we have to claim print at home tickets every fixture, which makes me wonder if we have to claim seat reservations each time. Sounds like a pain in the arse if so.

Villa away tickets on sale (rarely any designated away section in the women’s game so tickets are through them), block C is their recommendation

LCFC are doing Fox Travel but that’s not on sale yet
