Depends very much on what’s available, if one of those is there and we can get them then I’m sure we would. We look at the market of frees and players with a year left all the time, to maximise value. See Edouard, Soumare, Tarkowski.

Tarkoski has three or four years left at least left as a top level CB. If we can get him for a decent fee then do it. I think it’s more likely next summer on a free though.

Completely agree. We want another experienced CB, but with the deal of a century we landed with Evans, you can understand why the club would rather not pay exorbitant amounts for experience! Buying another highly-rated youth player at CB is probably a more sensible decision if experience is going to cost us £20m+, with little re-sale value.

There are plenty of players on frees or up for grabs next year too.

Oh completely but that’s kind of my point if he’s a decent fee then it’s a no brainier.  I just don’t want  to be spending silly money on him .

Sounds like a massive **** you to Burnley...sell us Tarky or we'll go and get the replacement you're trying to sign.

I think this will all be about how Evans is with his plantar fasciitis. if it looks like he will be able to play regularly they’ll go for this guy and wait a year for a freebie tark. If Evans isn’t going to be able to be a regular, we will need someone with a bit of a cool head and experience and we will bring in Tarkowski. Allegedly.

I was impressed with him when we played them in the cup to be fair! Looked as dominant as you’d expect a 6’4” player to be also looked very comfortable on the ball whilst being no slouch.... oh and if it means trumping Arsenal Geeeerrriiimmmin

All 25 minutes ?

IF tarko cost too much, id bring this lad in. experience is important but as u lot have mentioned, there are plently of frees we could sign for experience. its all about oppurtunity costs.

Take another look in about three years. We need experience right now. We have to win matches and can't afford too many young players on a learning curve.

Harry Souttar is even bigger (6 foot 7) lol

Gerrim in if he wont be sent off to the u23s for their div 2 title race. Tall, 20, signing him from a team where he plays regular senior football - the u23 coaches will be all over him.

Singing players linked to Arsenal is a nice change from West Ham and Everton. Don’t think I could stand another summer of that :D

Singing players, His dad must be Phil.

You don't watch much of our underage set up do you a chara  ?  This guy is a baller and in two years Leicester will be struggling to hang onto him or making huge profit. Get him.

I just remembered the right sided cb in a back 3 being masssive and looking half decent... 1+1 ended up equalling 65 lol

More important than experience is that the person is a good organiser. This guy was made Stoke's youngest ever captain.

No, but he's from a family of ballers. His dad was at Liverpool & Oxford. His uncle played English top flight and his brother is pro in Ireland.

They chose Stoke for faster first team pathway and he captained them at 17. If they chose Leicester as the next move then its champagne all round chaps because Fletcher wants him at ManU knowing him from his time at Stoke.

He's a baller.

We’ve been linked with young championship defenders before ( allegedly) and always missed out . Mepham and Rodon spring to mind. One crap , one meh . If this is true let’s hope we’re bidding shedloads less than £15 mill

To all the fans saying experience doesn't matter if we can't sign Tarkowski then I thoroughly disagree. We only have Evans now and he will pick up knocks with his age as he has done. We've seen fofana and soyuncu have bad games on their own with mistakes that have cost us the game this season. Experience in defence is vital in this transfer window.

That's not a very big sample to base a judgement on.  Burnley signed Tarkowski from The Championship, Maguire came from relegated Hull, Joe Gomez came from Charlton and John Stones came from Barnsley.
