This really seems the window to pick up decent players on relative good transfer fees. Lots of clubs hit by covid and looking to sell their assets at reduced prices. Bailey could be one

And he’s a fit for Villa? We’re a top 6 team. We can get who we want.

We ain’t going to splash out 30+ million on a RW I just can’t see it but I hope I’m wrong.

If we're in for him he picks us over villa.

Rodgers, the training ground, wilf, Timmy. No brainer.

Totally agree mate but that’s a big IF.

It’s happening:frantics:

It would absolutely be the best ever window we’ve had. Bailey and a CB and I’m dreaming. Benkovic could actually end up staying instead of kabak.

can only hope we're working on this one stealth mode a bit like we did with Daka until that ITK from Zambia with 50 followers first broke the news

Did not the Lord of the Wing @Ric Flair  state he was doggo last year?

Thanks.

For some reason that has planted Lord Of The Dance in my head on repeat.  It won't go away.

Dance then, wherever you may be...

Again? They finished 11th last season.

Scratch the surface though and up to when Grealish was injured they were in the top 8 mix with games in hand, only for a horrible spell. They ended the season very well. I'd not be surprised to see them get 60+ points next season wherever that lands them.

If Grealish stays they will be a threat. If he doesn't, they will be mid table. They were utterly garbage when he got injured and as much as Buendia is a good signing and Bailey potentially would be, they would still be fcked without Grealish.

I just like the fact Villa gave it a really good go. So did Leeds when they came up. It felt that teams like West Brom were preparing for relegation before they had even kicked a ball.

I don't disagree that they've the base of a good side but I don't think they were ever realistically troubling the top 8 last season. It's insane how a squad that capable is so reliant on one player staying fit, and them progressing almost absolutely depends on them keeping him.

Would be a decent buy imo,

kind of annoying we didn't try and get him the same time we got Ndidi, even if it meant Bailey staying at Genk for the rest of that season

...if you haven't got the finance to throw at it then WBA  were wise to go in the direction that they chose!!!

The amount of money Villa and Leeds have splashed out is unreal.

Villa should have been relegated if the goal line technology hadn't malfunctioned against Sheffield United when the ball as a yard over the line.

They also massively breached FFP to get out of the championship.

For that reason I hope they fail miserably!

I don’t think we are in a position to be calling anyone out on FFP breaches lol

We paid a fine on it. Where's their one?

Qpr also got fined 40m for something similar.
