The hate for Perez is too easy for some. Those who lack a bit of imagination and take the easy option to just lump on him.

Agreed. It is frustrating though, when he’s in that crucial position to shoot/cross you know 9 times out of 10 it won’t result in a goal. It’s taking those key opportunities that separate the top players from the average.

Agree - looking very self-assured, confident and comfortable on the ball.

Perez tracked back well and made a good tackle on one of their players getting forward earlier. But it's all 'pEReZ iS ShIt'.

Great to see him weave in and out like that in the start of this match, sorely missed towards the end of last season.

Definitely is mate he’s turned into such a dangerous player

Yeah I admit the cross was poor and expect better. But he's not the first and won't be the last not to get it perfect in that position.

Thoughts on subs? Daka for Perez?

Hasn’t that Palmer caused 2 head collisions now?

Kicked Soyuncu in the face now elbowed Bertrand. Surely needs a yellow

The numbers on the back of Man City shirts are MASSIVE. Especially wide receiver Palmer number 80

Confidence is key. He was lucky there were no fans in last season. Hopefully we actually support him rather than booing/sighing. Can’t be good for the guy. Confidence is so key, especially for forwards.

If he can keep up his defensive stats, which are elite for a forward, whilst getting the goals he did in his first season for us, then I think we’d be pretty happy.

thats standard for any player playing in his postions whats so good about that... he is a forward player not a defensive player and offers bob all going forward as we have and commits loads of fouls
