Very rarely do the club disappoint me, but on Saturday they did. I've never seen the fa cup in Leicester's hands. I've never seen the charity shield in Leicester's hands, and I still haven't!

Surely after the final whistle the players and Top could have shown the trophies off with a lap of applause for all of us fans that haven't been in a stadium since march last year, through no fault of our own.

And before I get the... there was opportunity to see them in the shop all week.... as I live in Norfolk it's a 7 or 8 hour round trip for me to get to matches.

Would have loved the chance to clap the lads and our fabulous owner on the latest silverware

There's probably some Premier league rule that prevents it. Dunno

That said, they did parade it after the Spurs match at the end of the season. Again, not much use to most with the reduced attendance.

They did do a parade after the FA cup game on the final game of last season against Spurs and don't think we want to become that club that parades the community shield like it's a major trophy.

It's a personal thing I guess. Winning it was the most important thing. Those that were at the actual match would have seen it in person, those not could have seen it on TV. Other than the opportunity to see it personally by appointment at the club, it's yesterday's news and I don't see any point in regurgitating it over to the next season. I  doubt I'd have stayed to see it paraded round and the last thing the club would want publicity wise is a half empty stadium.

You do realise were in a pandemic...

To some degree i`m with Broughton on this, in that alot of fans have not had that opportunity to see the players parade the FA Cup, and as a kid growing up in the early 70s, the FA Cup was the holy grail to myself and alot of other City fans of that time, and so it has been disappointing that due to the pandemic, we were robbed of the opportunity of watching our club parade the FA Cup, which many of us had dreamed about all our lives.

Yes the winning of it was the most important thing, but being able to celebrate it with both the players and like minded fans, in a stadium would have been nice, especially as there was never a chance of an open top bus parade that we would have had in normal times either.

That said, from a club point of view, they would have been mindfull that had we lost yesterday, then alot of fans would have walked out in disappointment at the result regardless, and not stopped back for the lap of appreciation, which would have been a bit embarrassing, and also had we lost, i dare say it would probably have been the last thing the players wanted to do too.

So all things considered, i can see why the club didn`t do it, although it is a shame that all the fans, and indeed the City as a whole have never had a proper chance to celebrate the FA Cup win as we would have in normal times.

I guess we will just have to win it again this season!  :scarf:

I was lucky enough to go to the Spurs game and see the trophy being paraded around. It was all a bit odd as I recall because losing out on top 4 meant it was a bit of a damp squib.

But I agree - they can’t parade it around this season. The players need to focus on achieving this season, not dwelling on last seasons achievements. I would however like more opportunities to take a photo with it as they sold out very quickly  - and not from a random bloke on the side of Raw Dykes Road!

It’s in the past . Who do you think we are forest:ph34r:.

To be fair 40 odd years from now, football fans as a whole from this era will still be talking about when "little old Leicester" won the premier league.

What?! You mean the one by the roundabout wasn't the real one? I want my £5 back. I feel so stupid now.

I'd not be happy to see the team parading a trophy on day one of the new season.

Reset to zero and play like you've never won anything before.

Resting on your laurels is not the mentality. I hope Brendan wouldn't allow it.

They're probably hanging on until you've updated your Foxes Talk avatar to a triangular flag....

I was at Wembley for both the FA Cup and Community Shield finals but the OP has a very valid point and there are plenty who through no fault of their own haven’t had the opportunity to see the silverware yet.

I saw Wes Morgan was in the stands, is there any reason why he couldn’t have brought them out at half-time or full-time and taken them round the pitch?

Plenty in the stands who didn’t get to see his and Fuch’s send off either. Hopefully another option is a special event at some point for King, Morgan and Fuchs and let them bring all three trophies won in the last 5 years out then!
