He shouldn’t have a new contract. Too much water under the bridge and the player and club need to part way, regardless of if he scored 10 between now and the end of the season (he won’t anyway).

 

But this gifted chances. Can anyone using this as a stick to beat him with from his performance on Friday actually tell me what difference it makes in the context of the striker? What extra skill set does it take for a striker to finish a chance laid on by a teammate than the opposition?

The silver lining with Daka is he doesn't shy away.

 

It would be nice if he didn't mis-hit clear chances, but at least he comes back for another try.

 

(I fully recognise that is nowhere near good enough for what we need, but still probably the best in a very bad small bunch of strikers we have)

Shouldn’t get a pass because he smiles and runs a lot.

Atrocious record for a forward signed for the top end of the premier league.

A key contributor to why we have been relegated

Defended him plently over the years but he's basically sent us down on his own given the amount of chances he's missed the last couple of months.
