I think that might have been on Room 101 back when Paul Merton was still hosting it.

 

Sean Lock was one of the best comedians on telly. Born to do panel shows. I think it's more obscure than it deserves to be, but I think his sitcom, 15 Storeys High, is a hidden gem. If you're a fan of Sean Lock and haven't seen it yet, I can recommend giving that a watch.

 

I can't believe he is not with us anymore. Absolutely gutted.

Terrible news.

 

UK panel shows really are the peak of comedy (8o10, WILTY mainly), and Sean was a massive part of that. Have seen him in stand up too and was a very funny night.

Sean Lock is / was absolutely, undoubtedly fantastic, his stand up and his panel show stuff used to have me keeling over - but steady on there.

Agreed. You’ve not climbed many comedy mountains if those sort of programmes are the ‘peak’ lol

This caught me off guard and I'm a bit gutted. His Catsdown stuff is one of my go-to's when I need a laugh. A very, very funny bloke that always seemed to leave other comedians in bits as well.

 

Obviously his schtick is dour but he seemed to really love making people laugh and it was always fun to watch. I'm sure everyone that worked with him is devastated.

 

I'm sad we won't see him on telly again, thanks for all the laughs Sean.

He's been my favourite comedian for a long time. not many comics come across as naturally funny and able to be spontaneous like he was, gonna miss seeing him on tv.

I think he was so funny because he was relatable. He was a normal bloke that worked in very ordinary environments and extraneous to most mainstream comics now. The off the cuff, irreverent jokes are more like jokes you see and hear everyday - rather than politics laundered as comedy.

 

A funny man that will be missed.
