TrentFox Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 Why has Pep only named 7 subs to PSGs 12? Not sure if the exact rules re eligibility, but that smacks of attention-seeking. Surely, even a couple of U-18:s would have benefitted from sampling the atmosphere?
Finnegan Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 Hakimi stopping what would have been an absolute wonder goal there
StanSP Posted 24 November 2021 Author Posted 24 November 2021 Man City absolutely battering PSG. Should be well ahead.
Popular Post TrentFox Posted 24 November 2021 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2021 Mahrez first touch is simply the best I’ve ever seen. Insanely good. 10

Kinda but I feel they've flattered to deceive a little bit. The one that hit the post was a great chance but otherwise its been a lot of City trying to blast shots that were never on point blank at defenders in a very crowded area. They've not had a lot of really clear, open chances. As often with Man City over the last 18 months I can't help but feel the lack of outright 9 hurts them. Edit: to add, both teams have been amazing defensively. Man City on the press defending from the front and PSG with the low block, very well organised. Edited 24 November 2021 by Finnegan
Finnegan Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 Absolutely maddening from Fletcher and Keown. Mendes gets absolutely taken out with a really sore knee to knee as he's sprinting full tilt. Really painful looking clash. Keown immediately starts banging on before he's seen it about how he's just time wasting and looking to get a breather. Then he watches the replay, you can see its knee to knee and a sore one, and he persists insisting it's nothing. Then he gets subbed off and limps his way around the outside of the pitch in obvious pain and Keown insists "I think he's just out of steam now basically." No you ****, he's hurt. I know Keown never sprinted in his life, let alone got clipped while doing it but fvck sakes.

Any injury is like 'he'll be fine...there's nothing in the challenge...barely anything in it...just a coming together' kind of comment. 1
Finnegan Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 (edited) Honestly can't remember the last time I saw Neymar have a good game. I mean, he must have them, I will admit I don't watch them a lot. But I swear he's been bang average (by his own standards at least) since Mbappe went there. Edited 24 November 2021 by Finnegan
StanSP Posted 24 November 2021 Author Posted 24 November 2021 Wow do UEFA have something against Dortmund?! Emre Can gets sent off for reacting to a cynical challenge. Didn't really see any kind of violent conduct (not seen a replay). Hummels got sent off the other week for a totally innocent challenge and it wasn't overturned. 1
Duquesne Whistle Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 Play a striker, probably win the game, Pep. Surprised he didn't leave Jesus on the bench.
Bert Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 Fletcher is absolutely desperate for Ramos to come on isn’t he. He’s normally ok but tonight he’s been cringe.
ALC Fox Posted 24 November 2021 Posted 24 November 2021 Another excellent Champions League game, this. The quality is so, so good. The atmosphere is brilliant too. How I'd love to see us involved again.
StanSP Posted 24 November 2021 Author Posted 24 November 2021 Dortmund drop in to Europa League. Had to avoid defeat by 2+ goals to Lisbon and lost 3-1.

Isn't it a 25 man squad, not sure about rules on youth players.
CosbehFox Posted 25 November 2021 Posted 25 November 2021 Doesn’t help either when they have the Youth League the same day or the day before.
Vacamion Posted 7 December 2021 Posted 7 December 2021 What the blazes was Kyle Walker thinking there ?

fazzyfox Posted 7 December 2021 Posted 7 December 2021 The acting in the Porto v Atletico game makes Crossroads look like the Royal Shakespeare Company
