Lionator Posted 16 February 2022 Posted 16 February 2022 A decent side would've put Liverpool away tonight. Although that's two pretty fluky goals for the scousers.
Super_horns Posted 16 February 2022 Posted 16 February 2022 Bayern Munich nick an equaliser - tough on RB Salzburg.

I dont think there are many decent sides. Inter and ac milan will never have the finances again to trouble the premier league clubs at the top level the talent pool world wide is sinking, salzberg are more a team of athletic runners which you see endless amounts in modern football. I think footballing instincts are being coached out of players by pressing. The prem leagues riches hoovers up what good players there are, the best managers to we had a all premier league final last year, i expect it to one of many in the coming years
HybridFox Posted 16 February 2022 Posted 16 February 2022 (edited) Inter are terrible aren't they..which means they probably would have battered us Edited 16 February 2022 by TK95

He does but as the nearest that F*rest get to a 'celebrity' fan these days, he must have forgotten about their 'massive' rivalry with Liverpool.
filbertway Posted 17 February 2022 Posted 17 February 2022 2 shots on target last night in the Inter v Liverpool game. Champions league is supposed to be the best of the best, we might as well be watching Burnley v Watford. Bayern are the only genuinely entertaining top team where a game is worth watching.

Wymsey Posted 22 February 2022 Posted 22 February 2022 Lukaku isn't a world-class, all-round striker.

I actually think he is, he's just someone that quite obviously needs the support of a good man manager who's going to appropriately boost his confidence. He ran through walls for Conte and won him a league title. Tuchel is the Brendan Rodgers of the Champions League. Keeps getting jobs, making a bit of a positive impact when he lands and then tanking form off a cliff because he's got no idea how to do the human side of management and police a squad of egos. 1
Finnegan Posted 23 February 2022 Posted 23 February 2022 Michael Owen absolutely embarrassing himself fvcking hideously on concussion. Get this **** off the air. He's always been a shit pundit anyway but when Chris Sutton is making you look out of touch you really don't belong being a professional broadcaster.
StanSP Posted 23 February 2022 Author Posted 23 February 2022 Apparently Man Utd haven't had a touch in Atletico's box all game
fleshdaddy Posted 23 February 2022 Posted 23 February 2022 That Correa is a bit of a shithouse isn't he?! Love him, haha.
Finnegan Posted 23 February 2022 Posted 23 February 2022 Can't believe I briefly considered watching the United match earlier
RowlattsFox Posted 23 February 2022 Posted 23 February 2022 It's funny when Man Utd go out but I can't stand Simeone and his Madrid team. Tough choice.
Finnegan Posted 23 February 2022 Posted 23 February 2022 Bt embarrassing themselves in the benfica match. Darke and Macca frothing trying to protest that Antony should have been sent off (Peter Walton agrees shocker.) Antony and Nunes go head to head and Nunes throws himself on the ground with one of the funniest dives you'll ever see. Made Nasri vs Vardy look like a Tyson fight. Now I get it, Antony moves his head a bit and there definitely are a lot of refs that would have sent him off. But we shouldn't want those sorts of handbags to he a red, nobody was hurt, just get on with it. Darke going nuts calling for it repeatedly and actually complaining that that's a bad thing. We've come a long way from English commentators bemoaning all the diving and wimpy play.
Finnegan Posted 23 February 2022 Posted 23 February 2022 Also Divine Wrench sounds like a randomly generated xbox live name. 1

Unlike UK stadiums, every part of the ground sang/ chanted. They also had an eagle with Benfica colours on its talons circle the pitch a for a few laps pre match before landing on its perch cemtre circle, to the rapturous applause of the crowd. Good game to watch for the neutral too. Thought Ajax would run away with it but to be fair to Benfica, once they realised they had the legs of the Ajax defenders they were far more direct and threatening, and thorpughly deserved the point. Apart from the smoking in the ground which was rife, it was a fantastic spectacle from start to finish. Highly recommended. 1

Envious, it was a brilliant game to watch and the atmosphere did seem fantastic. Apparently a great city too.

StanSP Posted 8 March 2022 Author Posted 8 March 2022 Hope the fan in the crowd is okay at Anfield. Club medical staff also helping out apparently.
