Anyone know why there are so many empty seats at Madrid? They’ve had to put banners over seats, pathetic.

Aren't they doing work? I have it in my head that they're renovating the ground I can't remember if I imagined that?

Yeah looked it up. They're doing pretty major renovation work.

I'm not certain that's why the bottom tier is empty at the sides but given they've got something like a fifty year waiting list for season tickets and there's never a shortage of tourists who'll buy tickets especially for a CL knockout against Messi, Mbappe and Neymar.

So I imagine it's an imposed capacity reduction of some kind whether its construction or covid related.

Big stadium redevelopment. Adding tiers but also pitch renovations. Removable pitch as it will be a multi-event stadium. Basketball, concerts, NFL as well as the football will all be hosted. So there's a lot of mechanics underground hence the seating reduction there.

Another classic Pochetino meltdown lol

If you ever needed any proof that it's managers that make the personality of a squad it's right here. It shouldn't ever have been "Spursy" it should always have been "Poch-y"

(Or Rodgersy....)

Benzema gets nowhere near the credit he deserves.

He and Lewa both way ahead of Salah, not that you would think that possible if your primary access to analysis is the English media.

Pochettino still has so much to prove.

Laughable that Guardiola gets called a fraud yet Pochettino seems universally acclaimed as elite.
