It might benefit our atmosphere inside the ground.

They won’t scrap the app - the covid passport is on the NHS app.  You will still need it for certain stuff, especially some forms of travel, moreso abroad.

As far as I’m aware the COVID passport app is not being scrapped, it’s just the plan that the government will making it a mandatory requirement to enter events like it will be in Scotland being scrapped 

 

There is already a QR scanner app provided to be able to scan the COVID pass to verify passes

Part of me thinks that they only ever said it to try and increase uptake but very good news either way*. It's time there was an attitude shift on covid.

 

* If they're not pulling a fast one, which is a huge if, given their track record.

I have already explained above my understanding is that the covid pass is being kept and can be used by events as there is a verification app available 

the thing being scrapped is the plans to make it mandatory by the government for events to use it

I’ll be honest mate, I don’t see it happening. Not now. If the Premier League truly gave a crap, it’d have been introduced at the start of the season. Everything that has been done so far has just been lip service.

Hopefully the shelving of the covid pass means we can get back to match day normality.   I would hstevyesterdays shambles to become the norm.   Everyone needs to attend to their own biosecurity for everywhere... not just at the kp

Seemed like Covid wasn’t a thing in the WSL yesterday either. That was incredibly lapse and kids were running everywhere. I think I’ve got more chance of being pinged from that disaster than Saturday’s match.

Me and the Mrs still have it, but we also test 3 days a week because we rely heavily on our parents to have the kids whilst we work.

 

Got pinged a little over 2 weeks ago because we’d been close to a leper at Alton Towers for longer than 15 minutes. Fortunately we didn’t have to isolate since the rules changed because we were all absolutely fine.
