Food wise, nothing. All food is to be enjoyed and no secrets required!

Music wise - Depeche Mode. I know I shouldn't. I've otherwise 'credible' music tastes.

I’m 50,so that seems fine to me.I really have a broad taste in music as a lad it was The Smiths,Echo and the Bunnymen,The Damned,The Stranglers,Seattle Scene but at 50 should I really enjoy Enter Shikari,Idles and Drum and bass.

oh and I like birdwatching (awaits woman pun)on my morning walks with the dog.No expert.but probably know more than average.

The missus comes out early now dog walking with me since lockdown ..  with her heart issues I thought it would help get her stronger in case she caught Covid ..  she’s really got into the bird watching and can now confidently identify everything we see ..  even spotted a field fare which I initially struggled over ! ..   cocky bugger ! ..  :)

Fish & chips fried in beef dripping. Lovely. Used to have to go 'up north' until Ang's chippy opened up in Shepshed.

Anyone know of any other chippies within the county that cook the 'proper' way?

I had some at the Black Country museum, absolutely delightful.

I'll happily listen to most Taylor Swift songs. Can't stand most pop but for some reason I like her.

Same here. I’ve been listening to her Evermore album recently which is a bit different but class.

I think at 50 you’re supposed to like Elbow. Really like Elbow. Possibly like only Elbow. I have no idea why though.

Why secret though? Some of the best pop music ever made!

I cannot help the title of the thread - I'm sure it's not something most men my age would own up to however!

Thank you Mr. CF,

Yes, I've developed a soft spot for it.  Some of the acting, particularly from guest actors, is bordering on sabotage but that is part of it's charm.  It rarely strays from an anodyne version of life that appeals to me.  No gritty realism here.  I know it's crap, but I like it nontheless and that's the point of a guilty pleasure I suppose.

So who did your sister-in-law play?  I'm actually quite starstruck :D

Listening to the rain when trying to sleep.

Good one.  I used to live in a narrowboat cus I couldn't afford a house.  I loved the sound of the rain battering down on the tin roof.
