I wouldn't bet on it. Top will safeguard KP over us. If we keep making financial mistakes we could very easy end up the next Wednesday.

He's just as dangerous as Chansiri. Both do what they want and tell fans nothing. Both started crying when fans had a go.

They ain't that different.

I can see it coming, the same when I warned everyone around the time of the FA cup win, our loans against future income and wages were a problem.

All we have to do is dig a hole in the ground before Dec 2027. Even if we don't I wouldn't imagine it would be too hard to get it renewed as nothing relating to planning has change in the location.

This isn’t a realistic post, but to continue on the same sort of theme as a few other posters, I’ve almost reached the point of thinking it would be better to just knock down the current stadium and rebuild it on the same site. The acoustics aren’t good enough, and the place doesn’t have enough of a feel about it despite the success. It’s often been said in the past that the stadium was ‘built on the cheap’ and it does feel like that unfortunately.

I asked this question (whether the club considered a full rebuild on the same site) in the online Q&A the club did and Whelan almost scoffed at it. It had not been a consideration discussed at all.

The reality is that the concourses, turnstiles, safe-standing provisions and hospitality are also not fit for what modem stadia are offering to allow for smooth digital entry, better in-game atmosphere and getting fans to stay for longer at the stadium (either post-match or pre-match).

The expansion is only really improving the outside area next to the stadium and the facilities in just one of four stands - and the one that is not going to have any material impact on atmosphere.

For me, my bigger hope than this expansion going ahead is that we get a takeover with an ambitious owner that really wants to go further than the current plans and takes it on several notches rather than just delivering what’s there already.

When you look at what other clubs are doing at the top level, it feels like we’re hitting another generation of stadium design, just like when the bowl stadiums became a thing. We risk getting left behind in a major way.

I understand why you say it isn’t a realistic post..for a club that has had financial issues, why would they rebuild a whole new stadium, on the site of their existing stadium, fir only 8,000 more seats? . that would leave them without a home, in a stadium that would be short of the 32k seats we already have, for AT LEAST a full season. None of that would make sense to me. But not much about King Power makes sense these days anyway!

it was built to the exact same specs as Southamptons St Mary’s stadium wasn’t it? I think that’s the only area money was saved on- using someone else’s plans!

Elon musk to buy us, build a new stadium that doubles up as a new launch site for his rockets when there’s no midweek game.

Then we'd have to decline entry into the Champions League.

I personally think the Stadium needs a refurbishment. Whether it is expanded or not the food options are way behind other clubs in the league. I feel the concourses could do with expanded more toilets etc. obviously this is all future thinking as we are in financial turmoil at the minute.

The toilets have been grim for years, none of them are fit for the amount trying to use them at once

I suspect that no one at the club is even thinking about this. Or anything else for that matter. Stagnation, boredom, the will to succeed has gone. Feels like no one can be bothered anymore which may well be a consequence of ten golden years.

I know I sit in the south stand takes most of half time to go to the loo. Same can be said about the food and drinks service always slow… like we are just lacking.

Whole place needs a revamp, it’s looking tired now.

We are now seeing the drawbacks of a cheap, functional ground. Tired and cramped in many areas.
