Most visited ground

Recommended Posts

Can't remember off top of my head but I know I've done Hillsborough (Sheffield Wednesday) about 11 times and Bramall Lane (Sheffield United) about 7 or 8 times.

After that it could be any of KC Stadium (Hull), Elland Road (Leeds), Hawthorns (WBA), Old Trafford (Man Utd), Etihad (Man City) or Stamford Bridge (Chelsea).

My favourite remains Villa Park. Absoloute superb ground.

Probably Pirelli Stadium (Burton Albion)

Been to the past few games we have played them in cups, friendlies etc.

Then also gone to some of their league games over the years

Also had a couple of sunday league football presentation things there

Just now, SemperEadem said:

The club have plans to move back into the city again in the not too distant future.

Well, the city boundary. Defeats the object of the move when it's still nowhere near Sheff itself

This thread has encouraged me to count up my stubs and has bought back some great memories!

Out of my 242 away games since 2004 I've been Palace the most (9 times)

I do have a girlfriend honest..

And she knows I'm going Harrogate tonight to tick another new ground off lol

Cheriton Road - Folkestone (mainly Town in my youth; a couple of times to see Invicta in recent years)

Also, mainly due to residence or family/friend ties:

- Sixfields - Northampton Town

- Home Park - Plymouth Argyle

- Selhurst Park - Charlton (80s) & Palace

- Bramall Lane - Sheffield Utd (mainly 70s)

Abroad: The old Estadio José Alvalade (had 3 months as a regular there in 1994 when temporarily living in Lisbon - young lad named Figo looked a decent prospect)

Excluding non-league (which would be the local, and having played at Barwell, would add up to double figures).

Cardiff City stadium - 4 I think (could be 3)

Cardiff Millenium - 3 (2 rugby 1 football)

Villa Park - 5 times (1 rugby WC 4 football)

Borussia Park Monchengladbach - probably more than 4 (just)

Wembley has to be the clear winner but only due to multiple events like concerts, NFL and football - (1 against Spurs, 2 Community Shield and 1 FA Cup Final with us, then England vs Germany, 2 ACDC, 1 Metallica and 1 NFL) - 9 (pretty sure I missed something)

I try to vary where I go but pretty hard these days.
