Hi lads, Rennes supporter here. I'm sure we'll have great matches. Couldn't tell who is the favorite. FYI, we probably have the best and the most beautiful collective game in all Ligue 1. In good days we are able to score 4 to 6 goals, especially at home. We beat PSG, Lyon very easily, but we sometimes get a bit stressed and fail to exploit our chances. We have a young team and thus we can make deadly mistakes and lack character sometimes, if all doesn't go too well.

What can we expect from Leicester ?

How is aguerd doing btw? Wanted leicester to sign him 😪

This is the easiest game for me to probably go to, however is it 3 jab entry in to France? Any other option? I've only been doubled jabbed and then got covid at Xmas so haven't had the 3rd.

Your covid pass (recovered from) will suffice

Safe passage to the next round of the competition.

Expect goals in both games, but you'll score more. Think it will be a good match, but we are having a terrible season and think the additional motivation of taking a Premier League scalp will work massively in your favour.

I didn't have a PCR as it was on the cusp of not needing to bother so I didn't. I really don't want the 3rd jab as the 2nd wrote me off for weeks and weeks. I'll just stay at home and get very angry on here instead then.

We are absolute horse manure this season, defensively breaking records (not in a good way) since such records began. We have a soft underbelly, a manager who bottles European knockout games and most high pressure games and our squad conditioning resembles Mike Bassett's England squad.

You'll win both legs.

Thats harsh

On Mike Bassett's England squad

Did I read it wrongly that you could not enter if not jabbed without a letter from France to say it is 'emergency' business or similar?

The negativity in here is outrageous, even more than the usual!

Yes, it's completely unfathomable given our last three months of world-beating performances and joyous results

Go and get a boost?

UFS have been looking to put on a coach but sadly so many firms are saying the Brexit/travel red tape is stopping them now.

And the really outdated rule that prohibits drinking on a coach to a sporting fixture.

The 2nd jab absolute eradicated me for several weeks. Was off work for a while, had arthritis type episodes and some very strange fevers. I'd really rather not given I've the antibodies from 2 doses and recently had covid which what was very likely Omicron. I thought you were supposed to leave off a booster for a good while after catching it anyway? Given my reaction to the 2nd jab I'd be hesitant to get another at the minute if you're supposed to wait.

I'd only be getting it to travel and not for health reasons which seems stupid.

I think I've read that it's either 3 jabs or if the last jab was within 270 days which my 2nd jab was as it was the end of July. But its a little unclear.

For tourism the proof of recovery isn't acceptable to France. It's fully jabbed only, with the most recent no older than 270 days, so for most of you would probably be a booster.

we are in the last 16 of a European competition ffs its like most don't want to be in it?! its a privilege and the so many are coming across as self entitled spoilt football fans.

Yes we are not in great form but we have a chance to change that the more we play.

honestly i cant understand the majority of Leicester fans these days.

They're a decent side, their form is patchy.

They've put a few teams to the sword, they've lost to Nice and PSG and also recorded losses this season against much of the ligue 1 mid-table.

On paper they are very beatable, and a City side firing on all cylinders *should* beat them over 2 legs. I don't think it's self-entitled to say that.

Of course, the more we play and as players return to fitness there is always the chance of City returning to form - I hope that starts on Tuesday and the Forest game proves to be the nadir of the season.

Of course I'm happy to be in the last 16 of a European competition, and long may it continue.

Surely you can understand the level of negative feeling given the form - because there really aren't that many encouraging signs of gathering momentum on the pitch?

Fact is, it's hard to look forward to matches at the moment because I have to make sure there aren't any sharp objects around in case I am suddenly consumed by the impulse to gouge my ****ing eyes out in a desperate attempt to avoid seeing the egregious tripe we keep serving up in the name of football...

Here's a worrying stat...

As you know we have shipped more goals from setpieces (13) than any other team in the PL except Palace and Leeds this season.

Apparently Rennes are the top scorers (11) from setpieces in Ligue 1.

Oh dear.:(
