As far as I can see, the game will be the furthest north that Leicester will have played a competitive European game.

Randers (roughly on the same latitude as Dundee) is roughly half-a-degree further north than Spartak Moscow (approximately level with Glasgow), which in turn is 0.1 degrees further north than Copenhagen.

We played against Dundee United twice in the Texaco Cup, and if you class this as a competitive game, then it would actually slightly pip Randers as the northernmost competitive game Leicester have played.

Struggling to understand why anyone would flee Austria to move to Leicester   The Red Army were actually more interested in the away leg in Berlin....

That’s our grandad @VinceNoir

Interesting fact, he applied for the city job post Mark McGhee.

Not sure how bothered Spurs are by this but its still funny to see them miss another opportunity of silverware.

I think they don't care as it frees up their fixture pileup. They have 3 PL games to get rescheduled.

Can’t help but feel Spurs have done this on purpose. It’s the kind of arrogance I’d expect from them….. you know with their incredibly full trophy cabinet they can’t fit another one it.

I don’t know, the Audi cup is pretty large.

Absolutely no excuses not to go the distance in this now.

Wait. Spurs are/ were the biggest obstacle to progress in this competition ? Surely there must be better sides left in ?

Their fans won't admit but they would be desperate to win any silverware they can

Bookies have us as favourites for this. Roma, Marseille and Rennes also up there.

If we take it serious we should go really far.

Fenerbahce, PSG, Celtic, Feyenoord, Copenhagen ... lots of other teams in there that could win it. We were favourites for Europa League, too. Best to take it seriously ... and frankly, there are some good European nights (or early afternoons) we could potentially draw in the later rounds if we advance.

I think there is no clear favourite. We could win it if we took it serious and performed, no doubt. But so could another 8 to 10 teams left in this competition. It's very open and interesting for the neutral (if it wasn't such a devalued competition).

This is great in terms of our chances of the competition.

It's probably not great in terms of the league - Conte at Spurs playing only 1 game a week massively benefits them. Much like how Arsenal have profited from lack of European football each week.
