Which cup exit has you fuming more?

Opted against a poll as some of the older fans will have better memories. But last night blew a realistic opportunity of winning another trophy.

 

Not the first time though.  The Villa debacle a couple of seasons ago. Man City games with Puel. That Wycombe tie.

 

When else have you been absolutely fuming we've missed out on the showpiece finale?

Millwall away fa cup 5th round was bad but wycombe at home in quarter final of the Fa cup was the worst.

Last night stung a lot more than Villa two years ago. I think we would have lost to Man City in the final anyway and we were so bad in that game that Kel rescued us 20 minutes from the end so we were lucky to be heading into ET.

 

Last night we blew a chance at a Semi Final with the two best teams in the country out of the Cup, a winnable tie against an inform Arsenal to get to a winnable final, and a commanding 3-1 lead with 30 mins to go.

Last night was a tough one to take. Though imagine the meltdown on here if we lost the final to Spurs.

 

Nothing would match Wycombe though. The start of the downward spiral.

To be fair, we were still fourth or fifth in the league after the Wycombe game and looking forward to a strong finish. We had no idea how bad the collapse it triggered was going to be though.

It wasnt an exit but the defeat to that ridiculously poor Spurs team in the League Cup final really hurt. Martin should've had three trophies.

This is by far the most disappointing result this season. Let's hope it doesn't affect team morale. Klopp time has now replaced Fergie time. It was a very late goal last season that their goalkeeper scored against West Brom that helped ruin our CL bid.

Wycombe and Newport stand out. Although I’m still baffled we didn’t beat Villa in the league cup semi.

Newport and millwall were bad in a different kind of way, yesterday and villa feel worse in a way tho because we should have won those but bottled it.

Villa was hard for me because we dominated. Last night it felt everything was going against us, while I was gutted I didn’t feel as bad as Villa.
