Chelsea need a left back as they have such a small squad.

coolhandfox Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 Everton would want decent money 20m plus, no chance his coming here. 1
JJD_LCFC Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 For a 17 million pound fee he will be a good signing. Thomas has played well recently but I do think another left back is needed. Ricardo, JJ, we just do not know how they will come back from the injuries they have had. Digne is proven in the league, called up for the national side and just my opinion but I think he will improve us. If Newcastle are in for him, he will want silly wages which will be the issue. 2
wardyfox86 Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 Unless he's available on loan with option/obligation to buy, he won't be coming here. 1
davieG Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 Would he even be able to be included in the named squads, you bring someone in like him and you need to drop someone out.
Collymore Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 He sounds like a bit of a drama queen doesn't he?

Benkovic could drop out, his not going to be used. Still think there is more chance of him ending up at Chelsea or Newcastle

Paying big money for a 28 year old doesn't really fit our recruitment strategy. The only time we have done that recently is with Vestiggard and that's enough to put anyone off. 1
smudger63 Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 Very good player, but I doubt he will be coming here. 1
RumbleFox Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 He’s an excellent player and one that would improve I think but I’m not sure a left back is a priority right now. X 2
crisp packet Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 Left back who’s happy playing wingback. would love him but cannot see it .
Pliskin Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 I think it’s that “agents tomfoolery” to engineer a move away. He will end up at Chelsea if anywhere.
StanSP Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 We can give them Bertrand. He's about their level. 1

orangecity23 Posted 1 January 2022 Posted 1 January 2022 It's for the best if we miss out on this one. Ever since seeing fonejacker, I've always referred to his name in the style of Mr Doovde, and called him LucadeDigne, and I'm not sure I could handle hanving to explain that to everyone I talk to about our games all the time.
UniFox21 Posted 8 January 2022 Posted 8 January 2022 Swear if he goes to Newcastle, they may actually have a shot at staying up
