This is pretty tame tbf. The best FT morals match was after the Thailand sex scandal when people were calling out others for being ‘sheltered’ when they questioned the act of rim licking. Peak Foxestalk that. 11
Corky Posted 3 January 2022 Posted 3 January 2022 The issue appears to be that we could want a future game postponed due to an outbreak after this. If that happens, we don't get it postponed. 1

Surely people can't be this naive? Football is hanging on by a thread at the moment. Clubs are trying desperately to manage the spread to keep fixtures going by cancelling training, isolating people where necessary etc. One thing we know from Omicron is that it spreads like wildfire. There's a chance now that they have picked up Covid at the darts meaning that we would be weakened even further for the next game. If this happens (and I really hope it doesn't) it would be purely on them! I'm also disappointed that KDH was there as he came across to me as someone hugely focused and hell bent on taking his chance in the team. If he finds himself out now then he'll only have himself to blame. Spot on. 1 2

I have a feeling the Premier League will be much stricter on games being off from now on and clubs being seen to stop the spread of the virus with protocols. I don't think they'd look favourably on this if the situation arises.

Of course there will be crying, from the club, from the management, from the players and probably a lot of fans and the game probably would be called off and that is what I’d be pissed off with - no clubs should have/no games should have been cancelled but it’s the precedent that has been set, cancelling many game for the most petty and pathetic reasons. 1 hour ago, Lcfc82 said: Football is hanging on by a thread because of how much testing is taking place, It needs scaling back. But that’s for the Covid thread. You can literally pick it up anywhere, if one of them does get covid there’s no guarantee it’s come from the darts. And there lies the problem, everyone being urged to test, test, test and then test again for no reason whatsoever. Are people not realising how silly it is they’re testing for no reason, with no symptoms. If you’ve got symptoms do the right think, take a test. If you’re around vulnerable people or other similar reasons take a test. Did we used to test or isolate for a cold for all these years? I believe this virus is very real and I believe it’s very dangerous for certain people but I feel we’re at a point of needing to get on with life and some of the measures in place, some of the ways people are acting are ridiculous, people need to do be careful, be safe but for god sake take some responsibility for ourselves and actions. If I chose to go to the darts, in the back of my mind somewhere I'd be telling myself "there's a high risk I might be picking the virus up here" the thing is, my role in society means there's people who easily replace me and I don't have a direct effect on a multi-billion pound industry that people rely on for so many reasons. Surely they realise what direct impact they will have on so many people if they become positive? Sadly, we have to learn to live with this virus. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Life must go on. The club haven’t seen it as an issue, so why should we? 1

That whole summer was ****ing amazing on Foxestalk. Racist orgy ✔️ Actor Tom Hopper from Leicester points out he's a different Tom Hopper ✔️ Players sacked ✔️ Pearson sacked ✔️ Preki ✔️ Claudio Ranieri? Really? ✔️ Cambiasso out for a run with Ulloa in Leicester ✔️ The whole month of trying to sign Aranguiz ✔️ Following Vichai's plane across the Atlantic for a whole day thinking it was going to pick up Aranguiz in Brazil only for it to go to Texas for its MOT ✔️ Vardy casino incident ✔️ And we didn't even ****ing go to La Manga. 4

At the moment it seems to be, despite rising numbers of cases. And for those getting on the players backs and suggesting that it could hamper the season, isn’t that too a little selfish? So the players must go home after training and stay there? Rubbish, whilst there’s no restrictions there’s no reason to moan about it, the lads can do as they wish. 2

We all want what’s best for the club and for the team to be winning games. A night out like this for the lads to be “normal” will do wonders for the “player welfare” that so many managers have been banging on about. The shit storm that’s been made out of this is quite frankly pathetic. If the lads had broken any rules I’d be saying different, but for me, yourself and many others they’ve literally not done anything wrong. I genuinely fear for those that think the lads shouldn’t have been there or were in the wrong. 6

A lot is being made of your second - and precisely the point I making, it’s irrelevant but so much is made of cases going through the roof. Of course the key part is people I hospital but regardless of Covid or not unfortunately the NHS will always claim they’re overwhelmed, every, single, year. Edited 3 January 2022 by Matt

An Away Move Posted 3 January 2022 Posted 3 January 2022 (edited) I can't quite believe we've got 14 pages of people thinking there is zero issue with this. It has nothing to do with the players relaxing and being able to do what they want. It's about a judgement call. I can't imagine the ventilation was good, combine that with a large crowd inside who may or may not have done lateral flow tests and that presents a stupid risk they've taken - hence why it is a news story. Some players have caught it and cited the venue being a risk, including Van Gerwen. With our injury list it was terribly bad call on their part. If you can't see that that I am afraid you must be an ostrich! 😂 Edited 3 January 2022 by An Away Move 3
