Also, if we wanted our new manager to dodge an input, and we already knew who it was going to be, they could still have input. Sorry you are talking like we have a plan and have discussed potential signings with a manager. We haven’t even addressed relegation, we probably haven’t even spoke to a manager yet 😂. I have to say also if you think managers don’t sign players, Steve cooper is a manager that publicly came out and said he wanted prem experience and that is exactly what he got. Vestergard extension is another very clear example of a manger decision and not the club.

CWLCFC Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 18 goals in the championship from midfield last season, would be good on a free. 1
Popular Post Scotch Posted 1 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 1 July 2025 Brownhill is a no-brainer depending on the contract. 15+ goal contributions from midfield in each of his last 2 championship seasons. 5
Tielemans63 Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 I'd be happy with Brownhill (on a sensible contract). Good player and good character by all accounts. 1
frany104 Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 Yeah, would be happy with Brownhill. clear some of the crap out and replacing with characters like Brownhill is a good start. 2
lcfcsnow Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 He's 30 later this year, you can guarantee we'll be his best offer on a long contract
CosbehFox Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 I look at Brownhill and I get same vibe as someone like Reid. Decent season last time but not the right side of 30 and hardly been some consistent beacon at a higher level before 1
dbtcity Posted 1 July 2025 Author Posted 1 July 2025 (edited) Although I’ve personally not seen any outlets reporting about us being in for Brownhill quite a few links keep popping up on Twitter from the Burnley end linking him with us… feel free to unlock one of the Brownhill threads and merge just thought it was worth having a thread up and running for him! anywhooo I personally think he’d be a solid signing and an excellent replacement for Wilf! even bagged a compilation by BrazilScout showcasing his highlights from last season Edit: worth a try 🤷🏼♂️ Edited 1 July 2025 by dbtcity 1
mod hero Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 Why would he turn down Burnley’s offer to come and play with us?

Levi Port Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 We’re always after Brownhill so I’m sure we’re after him, on a free it’s a no brainer. Free transfers always manage to play the field and get higher wages than they’re worth through… Ramsey to Juve on 300k a week comes to mind

Dan Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 I am quite torn on Brownhill. I don't want another stupid contract but when you look at the frankly pitiful number of goals our midfielders score and how big KDH was in 2023/24 for this reason it's hard to turn your nose up. The worry is we lumber ourselves with another player on a PL level contract who isn't PL standard. 1
Molson Canadian Posted 1 July 2025 Posted 1 July 2025 Brownhill looks like a good option on a free. Played 42 matches last season 18 goals and 4 assists. Good amount of goals for a midfielder. 1

Tbf after the season he’s had, I’d not be against paying 5/6 mill for him. so on a free that covers the wages. It’s not bad business at all and at least you’ll get 2 solid years before he might start to slow down
LCFCCKEANO Posted 2 July 2025 Posted 2 July 2025 See it as a like for like for KDH the last time we were here, makes a lot of sense on a free and if we go up at least we would have depth
