More rubbish from Football Insider then. Have we actually seen any names though? I saw a snapshot of a chat on X, but do we know this was actually Page? Edit - just seen his display picture. But can this be edited? Sorry, very cynical I know. Edited 7 July 2025 by scinnell

In terms of Evans he's got good hold up play, good ball carrying, good passing, good finishing, he's got almost everything i would want from a striker coming in so I dont understand why our fans are overlooking him as an option. I think he's good enough as he is now. If he was a youngster at Man United or Chelsea and we were loaning him in sure our fans would be ecstatic. The most telling thing from that, is that the fans all say he was good with another striker (ings) and not so good up top on his own. Funnily enough the same would be said about ayew and daka. we likely will play 1 up top, we need a comfortable number 9, it’s as simple as that for me 1

Everyone raved about Monga for the last 12 + months and in total throughout the season he got a few minutes of action here and there. Also the likes of Nelson and Alves have all went out on loan despite probably being a similar level to the senior pros in the first team squad. Other academy lads must be watching that and feel like they have no chance of making an impact any time soon.

His PL and Serie A record is basically 1 in 3. Would just have to be mindful of the contract length as he's 29 this week. 5 years should do it
Lambert09 Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 (edited) Just saw a link to Josh sergeant because he is with Wasserman. Sure we can’t pay 600k for Rohl but we’ll spend 15m on a striker same article suggested Oxlade-Chamberlein was close Edited 8 July 2025 by Lambert09

Pliskin Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 I suppose one good thing might be we don’t lose any keys players with all of this pissing about with managers. 1

But Monga and Evans featured a good amount towards the end of the season at 15 and 16 respectively. Alves and Nelson have at least been out on loan now to get some more experience (Nelson not being first choice here instead of the clown show was stupid). Then you've got the fact that the squad on Saturday was littered with players from 16-21 from the academy. The inaction with the manager and potentially transfer ban means the number of incomings will be limited, so probably never a better time to be a young player here as the club may finally be forced into play lots of them.

We could probably do with selling Hermansen to be fair as we need the money. Stolarczyk is more than good enough so seems daft having 2 good keepers. We just need a cheap backup for Stolarczyk, probably and older experienced keeper.

Forest have just signed Jesus from Botafogo, so I don't think they're likely to be in for him. However, as the article suggests, he's just scored in the Club World Cup and Inter want to keep him...albeit as 4th choice. Can't see it happening unfortunately.
