Bring in someone on loan to cover the space - Gallagher? Then you've not committed to anything and new manager can get to start with a decent pot of cash and space in the squad. 2

Depends on which club is offering the money. If a club like Newcastle or lower wanted him, they would need to get him this window and might be prepared to offer a higher amount. Next summer when he is free, a bigger club like Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs would take him.
