Spurs H match thread

Recommended Posts

That wasn't nearly as bad as the past years slow sideways guff.

It's a little bit faster and more dynamic. We've got our 3rd choice winger at right back, our 5th choice midfielder at centre half...and Vestegaard, so really not expecting any kind of defensive solidity.

Youri looks a bit lost, though.

I'll take 1-1

For all people moaning about our defence, Tielemans has been shocking yet again.

Gifted Spurs several chances through his sloppy passing.

He's been a great player for us, but he's had more crap games than good games this season.

His head is somewhere else!!..

Get him gone asap!

Soyuncu is rubbish… might have had one good season, but most of his career here he’s been shakey and rash. Hope we cash in on him in the summer (if anyone is still interested by that point).

Vestergaard is worse than rubbish but if you watch football you’d have known that anyway. No one is buying him, we are stuck with him.

This defence is horrible.

On the bright side, it’s only 1-1 some how 😂

He really is one of the very worst I've seen put a City shirt on. Need to be rid of once this season is done with.

*I'd say sooner but we need the bodies at the minute

The way we play, he is literally the worst style of defender to have, baffling signing.

World class for the second half of every fourth game though

Too many players behind him

What does that have to do with his making simple passes straight to Spurs players and giving them easy counter-attacks?

You can't blame "the system" on him misplacing a simple 5 yard sideways pass.

Tielemans is just having a crap season in his own performances, nothing to do with the system.

This game should be set to the Rocky theme music, one moment we're on the ropes babbling barely decipherable (the players not the forum...although...) then we score and continue to trade punches, a great effort. We just know our legs, otherwise known as Vestergaard, are wobbly as **** and would only require a light breeze to cause a collapse but still a brave brave effort. Be honest, two off the line, hit the bar, lucky not to be behind but we can get something from this if we can cut out the stupid giving away of the ball. It's mainly in those central areas around half way, out on the left we've had some joy just a bit stilted on the right with Hamzas limited / haywire distribution

I like that idea but the idea of a back 2 including that Danish 5G mast is terrifying

Think going 4-5-1 would stop them running at us at will and getting in behind so easily so vestergaard wouldn't be caught out as much. He really is a hindrance

Switch of formation although more defensive would give us more grounding and stop us being bombarded of 14 attempts in one half. That's just not sustainable.

Entertaining first half but we need to regroup at half time.

1. Thomas has been excellent and made a goal saving intervention.

2. Hamza has been too negative for a RB although he finally made some forward passes towards the end of the half! We need more action on the right so that we have more space for KDB and Lookman to operate on the left.

3. Vestergaard’s poor pass gave away their goal although Kane was always going to score against us. Soyuncu should have stayed on the inside of Kane instead of committing btw.

4. We need to stay positive. We could still do this!
