Buce Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 We'll start on the front foot, go one up before half-time, whereupon Rodgers will bring on three random subs to replace our best performing players, and sit behind the ball in a back five. Forest will dominate the second-half and score three in the last five minutes. Sound familiar? 2
Popular Post Mr Weller Posted 23 January 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 January 2022 People dread the possibility of losing to Forest but it’s unlikely. We are mid premier league, they are mid championship. Of course they could beat us but comments like ‘nailed on Forest’ are a bit silly 8 1
Popular Post Vacamion Posted 23 January 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 January 2022 If anyone is singing sick songs about Brian Clough they probably won't reflect on how moronic it is. But they should do. Surely, with the passing of the years, the fact that Notts Forest have languished for the last 20 years and given what City have done in recent years, it should be apparent that what Clough did was truly great and actually very admirable by anyone elsewhere in football, but it's all ancient history. Have some decency. 9 2

They’ll be out the blocks at us from the off with a capacity crowd behind them. Beating Brighton would’ve been a bit of a confidence booster, now we’ve got two weeks to dwell on two shoddy performances. It’s do or die for Rodgers too I think. I fear the worst. We will si5 back and defend and hope to win on penalties with 5% possession
Sunbury Fox Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 This has all the hallmarks of a bottle job by us. A baying home crowd and a physical home team and you can see our lot caving in. Brendan will no doubt set up with 5 at the back to match up with Forest. 2

Have some decency. Clough was a footballing genius. He's bigger than Notts Forest. They were second tier club before he came and returned to be permanent second tier club soon after he left. If Clough was managing today he'd be a prolific quote machine like Mourinho is. Edited 23 January 2022 by Koke 11

Brighton deserved a point today, better side than us, but lets not forget they are also miles better than Nottingham Forest. Forest will score, I have no doubt about it, we'll still see them off though. 1

Massive influence on MON too, one of our greatest managers of course. Also Clough was at one of our league cup finals supporting O'Neill. 1

SixtiesFox Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 It will be tough and the game could go either way given our current fragility. The surprise result against Liverpool gave Rodgers a little breathing room, but the good will afforded to him has now all but dissipated with two more poor results. Rodgers has a habit of pulling out victories to ease the pressure on himself when he most needs them, so expect a win. Call it luck of the Irish.

Every time he looked to be gone, he pulled something out the bag

Mickyblueeyes Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 I’ve wanted to play Forest in a cup game for the last few years. It’s Sod’s law that when we get drawn, they happen to be in decent form while we are struggling. Not looking forward to this anymore.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 January 2022 Author Posted 23 January 2022 The more I think about this the more I’m thinking of chucking a lump on them to beat us. It seems an absolute given, especially after today
Royston. Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 If they have anything about them, they'll exploit our weaknesses but unless it's a total no show from us Notts won't win.

Pliskin Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 Absolute nailed on 100% loss. Not a chance we go there playing like we are and win. They will have us good and proper I think, at the moment, Coalville town would probably beat us.
goody2028 Posted 23 January 2022 Posted 23 January 2022 Said this for weeks to forest supporting mates... they’ll beat us. It’s the fa cup, we go there as fa cup holders. It’s a massive rivalry (although they don’t care about us) it’s written in the stars they beat us this time. Never mind they’ll probably come up in a few years time and we’ll get 6 points off them.
