Not in an appalling state.

Just having a temporary decline.

We will be OK but at some point we will probably go down and then come back up again.

That's what we do.

Fcuk that.

We have been that mediocre yoyo club for too long.

Going down would be a sizeable chunk ripped from a glorious last 5/6 years.

This is going to be one hell of a tough game even if our boys put in a shift and fight for every ball. Burnley are simply an ugly team that are getting the job done now and they are not going to let up anytime soon. Dykes is a crusty ol geezer and he will pouring salt on our defensive wound that is guaranteed. I’ve no idea what the result will be but I hope and pray somehow we come out of this with a win.

ps... wonder what the club has planned to show solidarity with Ukraine. Will have to do something so hope it’s bold & original! Plenty teams showing support today.

Why? We’re a football club not an NGO.

I think it will be a very close game tbh. A game we realistically should win but with them beating Spurs midweek, they have some momentum to build on and we’re shipping goals left, right, centre.

Heart says 1-1. Head says 2-1 Burnley.

I’ve been oblivious to the fact that if we lose this we are deep in the relegation battle. I honestly think Rodgers might be sacked if we lose.

although, similarly hilarious that a point for Burnley puts Everton in the bottom 3.

Burnley score less than one goal a game so if we score a draw is likely .That would be OK for us right now. We need to set up to defend as best as we can and no gung-ho two wingers tactics. Barnes and Lookman as strikers with Daka and Iheanacho as bench alternatives. Maddison could be vital from free kicks, he appears to be finding his range.

I can see Burnley being well up for this. They will know we are fragile at the back and especially from corners, which I think they will take advantage of. They are quite a big side in comparison to us and will know that our defence is easily bullied.

With regards to Maddison, he is the key for us. If he has a good game, then the team usually does well. I would also like to see Daka start this one with Barnes and Lookman on the wings to try using their pace to get behind the defence.

Tarkowski and Mee rarely push up and leave little room behind them . They are old school defenders so we will have to adopt a more quick passing and off the ball movement tactic.

Absolutely no point asking for a clean sheet, but if we can keep it to just 1 goal conceded then we hopefully can grab a point or a 2-1 win.

We have to get a result. A loss here and I don't see how he can retain any remaining support. We've not even got that many injuries now compared to earlier in the season where the results were marginally better.

I would be surprised if Burnley don't score a couple.

Our full.backs are okay.   We probably need to play Amartey and Soyuncu again and have the work rate of KDH and Ndidi ahead of them.  We cannot afford to start with Barnes and Lookman.

Barnes and Albrighton or go 4-2-2-2
