Barnes and Albrighton or go 4-2-2-2

Albrighton has been very good recently.  I would go

Schmeichel

Perreira Maythefatessmileuponus Maythefatessmileuponusabitmore Thomas

Maddison, Ndidi,KDH, Albrighton,

Daka, Barnes

Formation is tweakable.  Our poor central defence and the form of KH make it difficult to get Maddison and Tielemans into the same team.

I quite like the diamond with Ndidi at the base, KDH and Tielemans in the middle screening each side and then Maddison at the tip. Daka and Barnes or Iheanacho up top.

That looks like it should work but we have struggled defensively with that sort of line up.  You were very quick to drop Albrighton.

I just hope Brendan has the common sense to stop trying to turn Wilf into a player who plays higher up the pitch and asks him to do what he does best and sit in front of the back 3 or 4 and protect them, for me the reason we have looked so open and Ndidi has looked a shadow of himself is because he is no longer doing the role he is so good at. If Wilf plays his  natural role we will look more solid straight away.

My XI against Burnley 3-1-4-1-1 We have to be aggressive and win our battles, Barnes and Lookman from the bench if we need to freshen it up. But most importantly we need to be disciplined and strong. Happy to win 1-0 got to keep it tight.

Schmichael

Amartey

Vestergard

Soyuncu

Ndidi

Ricardo

Tielemans

KDH

Albrighton

Maddison

Daka

We kept 2 of only 3 clean sheets playing it in December. Newcastle and Liverpool in the league. We were also electric vs them in the cup only to go 3 at the back in the 2nd half and throw it.

If we stick with 4-2-3-1 then I'd rather Albrighton on the right at the minute than Lookman.

I agree. I think you are a right fanieri .

I would just try and be as competitive and hardworking in midfield to protect our defence and to block shots/chances. The amount of opportunities conceded v Randers just wasn't acceptable. Tielemans hasn't been putting a shift in for much of the season. I would sit him out. Width to come from the full backs and go 2 up top.

Confident predictions so far over on the Bee Hole End.

Burnley win = 10

draw = 6

City win = 1

lookman has been one of our best performers this season

I don't think you cam start both Barnes and Lookman.  I would go with Barnes.

Lookman has been good.  Our defensive problems demand compromises.

lookman is a million times more defensive than Barnes, i would play Barnes up front and bench Daka who has looked a bit lost lately

An attempt to make myself feel more positive. We should have beaten both West Ham and Wolves. In both games we were dominant for long periods, and they are two of the better teams in the league.

Even with our ropy defence we have the potential to be a very good team. A team very capable of beating Burnley if we are disciplined, clinician and bang up for it.

Have i convinced you? Have I convinced me?

Not sure you can he convinced. We can be dominant for as long as we like but unless our soft central defence can be sorted out we won't win against Burnley or any others.

Looking forward to the trip on Tuesday. I haven’t been to Turf Moor for years, a 2 0 win in October 1995 the same day that OJ Simpson was found to be not guilty of double murder.
I have  a good feeling, we do have the quality and the last one and a half games have left me with more optimism.
